Ōkubo, Japan
In Shin-Ōkubo, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan.
I had heard before that Shin-Ōkubo is Tokyo's famous Koreatown, but when I first came here, I was still amazed.
At a glance, Korean restaurants, drugstores, idol merchandise shops, etc., basically dominate this street, making it feel like you're not in Japan.
Shops and real estate agencies catering to foreigners are everywhere.
There are many Korean snack shops to choose from.
You can also see a Seoul Market.
Walking here, you won't worry about finding delicious Korean food; you'll worry about not knowing which one to go to.
And the pictures displayed are of Korean idols, as if saying, 'We are the masters of this street.'
It is said that on the small side streets, not only Korean cuisine but also many Chinese and Southeast Asians have set up shops here.
So by coming to Shin-Ōkubo, you can experience the feeling of being in various Asian countries all at once, which is very cost-effective.
Moreover, Korean beauty products like sheet masks can be easily purchased here, which is great.
Korean fortune-telling has become very popular in Japan recently, so fortune-telling shops are also common here.
I also saw a Korean bar, probably staffed by handsome Korean guys to attract girls. Korean handsome guys are very popular among Japanese girls.
That's the introduction to Shin-Ōkubo!
Walking on the street, I unexpectedly found that near the station, there seem to be more Chinese-speaking compatriots than Korean speakers.
Why not come here and bump into friends?
