Cherry Blossoms at Ueno Park, Tokyo, Japan
During the Qingming Festival in 2024, the cherry blossoms at Ueno Park bloomed. I packed a few clothes simply, shouldered my luggage, and set off. Because the luggage was light, I didn't need to check it in, so boarding the plane was very relaxed. The plane landed at Narita Airport. I booked a hotel near the airport, took a taxi, and had a good night's rest. The next day, I visited Tokyo Tower, Senso-ji Temple, Ueno Park, museums, and other places. The cherry blossoms at Ueno Park were beautiful, making it a great place to relax. The museums and the Skytree were particularly worth seeing. In the evening, I rested at the same hotel. The distance was a bit far; it would have been better to stay in the city center. The hotel staff were very friendly, but the taxi driver was not. It might have been because he had waited a long time hoping for a long-distance fare, but my trip was too short, affecting his business. I gave him an extra five thousand yen as a tip to appease his mood. The photos at Tokyo Tower turned out poorly; I suggest not taking photos there. For city travel, taking the subway is relatively suitable and economical! Besides Senso-ji, I also visited several other temples and made some charitable donations. Three days felt too short; I plan to go again during summer vacation.
