Exploring the World: Day 4 of Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic Trip – Vienna Citywalk
Scoop a bowl of midsummer flowing light, Citywalk in Vienna
In the morning, we visited the Vienna State Opera and followed the experienced local guide Mr. Xu on a Citywalk through the old town. Along the way, we admired the statues of Goethe, Mozart (treble clef), Johann Strauss, and Queen Maria Theresa. We passed by the Vienna City Park, the Golden Hall, the Austrian Parliament Building, the Vienna City Hall, the Burgtheater, Heldenplatz, the Austrian National Library, the Austrian Presidential Palace, and the church where Princess Sisi got married. We measured the artistry and timelessness of the world's music capital on foot. At noon, we tasted the specialty roasted pork ribs at the century-old restaurant "Knight's Restaurant" on Kärntner Strasse. Two超大 pieces of ribs – as a meat lover, it truly won my heart. Delicious and tender, I would willingly gain three pounds for it. Trust me, after eating you can be full for the whole day. I sincerely recommend it to friends traveling to Vienna. After lunch, we strolled along Kärntner Strasse to digest, haha! Every city has a famous commercial street, like the Champs-Élysées in Paris, Nanjing Road in Shanghai, and Kärntner Strasse in Vienna. It gathers international brands and local specialty shops, attracting tourists from all over the world for shopping.
Schönbrunn Palace, once the summer residence of the Habsburg dynasty and the home of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth (Sisi), is the most renowned tourist attraction in Vienna. Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
