50 km South of Beijing Tiananmen, a 2,000-square-meter Cycling Park with Picturesque Scenery
Clouds and sky fade away the summer colors, leaves stir with autumn sounds. In this crisp and bright season, step into Gu'an, Hebei, and enter a fairy tale of blue skies and white clouds in autumn. I don't know how long it has been since I last went cycling. This time, on the recommendation of a local friend in Gu'an, I made a special trip to Gu'an Xing'an Lake Ecological Sports Park. This is a paradise for cycling enthusiasts from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, and also a place suitable for slow travel.
The September weather was clear and sunny. Many travel enthusiasts love such cool weather to find a place to relax and unwind. Gu'an has an excellent geographical location and convenient transportation, earning it the reputation of 'under the emperor's feet.' It is 10 kilometers from Daxing International Airport and an hour's drive from Tianjin Xingang, making it a favorite destination for tourists from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. And Xing'an Lake Ecological Sports Park is the first stop for traveling in Gu'an.
Xing'an Lake Ecological Sports Park features 2.5 kilometers of standard环形 road cycling track, 3.6 kilometers of circular mountain off-road track, beginner/intermediate/advanced gravity jump tracks, rock off-road tracks, comprehensive skills tracks, and other professional venue facilities. Even those with average cycling skills can have a great time here.
Riding along the professional cycling path, I smelled the fragrance of grass and trees, felt the gentle breeze, and felt refreshed. My mood was as light as birds flying in the blue sky. Whenever I saw beautiful scenery, I could stop and take photos.
Xing'an Lake Ecological Sports Park was expanded from the original Yongding River Bicycle Park. The total park area has been expanded from the original 500 mu to over 2,000 mu. The park vividly restores the waterfront style of the Yongding River, highlighting the two themes of ecology and sports. The park's lake water system covers an area of 100,000 square meters, with 5,900 meters of cycling asphalt roads, and 8,000 meters of hiking color asphalt and gravel roads. Along the cycling route, various flowers are in full bloom, and the feeling of being immersed in nature is truly wonderful.
When we cycled to the shore of Xing'an Lake, we might as well stop and take a quiet rest by the lake. With a gentle breeze, calm water without ripples, the azure lake surface shimmered softly. This kind of slow travel is perhaps the poetry and distance we yearn for.
The route we took is one that regular cycling enthusiasts can ride. Inside Xing'an Lake Ecological Sports Park, there are many professional-level cycling tracks. The park's cycling-themed area has a total of 16 tracks, including circular road tracks, circular mountain tracks, gravity tracks, beginner pump tracks, intermediate pump tracks, advanced pump tracks, children's balance bike courses, comprehensive training courses, and 4X racing tracks. Watching professional cyclists leap over bumpy terrain was both thrilling and exhilarating.
Cycling is a joyful activity, suitable for all ages and promoting全民健身. When I passed through the weeping willows along the cycling path and arrived at the shore of Xing'an Lake, the sun was just right and the breeze was gentle. This autumn, this trip, because of cycling, I realized that happiness can be so simple.
