In Gu'an, Hebei, 50 kilometers due south of Tiananmen, lies a hidden gem of a popular check-in spot. Winters in the north can be cold and dull, but Peacock City Grand Lake, located within Beijing's '1-hour economic circle', gave us a completely different and wonderful experience.
