Calligrapher and Painter Guo Wanlu Presents His Artworks to Celebrate National Day
Guo Wanlu is an outstanding calligrapher and painter, born in 1972, originally from Wen'an County, Hebei. He currently resides in Beijing, working as a professional calligrapher and painter while holding multiple artistic and social positions. Mr. Guo Wanlu is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the Beijing Dongcheng Calligraphers Association, a member of the Langfang Calligraphers Association, and a council member of the Langfang Buddhist Association. He is also a disciple of Qi Baishi's disciples and serves as a social law enforcement supervisor for Langfang and a National Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor.
Guo Wanlu's artistic career is rich and colorful. He studied under the renowned calligrapher Mr. Liu Junjing and serves as the president of the Mofo Caotang Calligraphy and Painting Academy. His artistic achievements have been widely recognized, including over 40 awards in various national calligraphy and painting competitions. His works excel in calligraphy, landscape, flowers and birds, and figures. Representative pieces include "Ten Thousand Miles of Majestic Wind," "One Hundred Lu Yan Scroll," and "Maitreya Buddha," which have won gold and special gold awards in different national calligraphy and painting competitions.
Furthermore, Mr. Guo Wanlu is highly active in artistic activities. He has hosted the "Qinqing Zhonghua Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Exchange Event and successfully held special lectures and exhibitions at the Art College of Hebei University and Hebei Provincial Library. His artworks are not only acclaimed in the art world but also collected by numerous institutions and private collectors.
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Guo Wanlu's artistic career has received widespread recognition and support from all sectors of society, including an inscription by Mr. Chen Lifu at the age of one hundred, as well as inscriptions from several art luminaries and renowned calligraphers for his studio.
