"Some things, if you don't do them now, you might never do them later; some places, if you don't go now, you might never go later." This is a saying I've always thought to be very true. Unfortunately, even though I think it's right, I haven't been to many places... I admit I'm someone who lacks motivation... Years slip away quietly amidst constant daydreams... I'm a person who loves mountains and waters, so Yunnan is a place I've very, very much wanted to visit. And what attracts me most is you, Lugu Lake. When I was little, I loved reading travel books. There was a period when I had to flip through a few pages every evening before sleep. The beauty of Lugu Lake was etched into my mind back then. This time, I had to fulfill this childhood dream. This photo: After taking the cable car, it was time to rely on my own feet. Standing on the observation deck, the scenery was incredibly beautiful, feeling like the earth was beneath my feet. The temperature on the mountain was very low, and the wind was strong; without a down jacket, you couldn't withstand it. I profess not to fear the cold, but I was shivering... But facing the beautiful scenery, the cold didn't matter. Start shooting~~~ What does this photo want to say? Not long after this photo, Xiao Hei couldn't stand the cold anymore, couldn't stay outdoors, and couldn't go higher, so she said she'd sit inside and wait for me. Well then, I continued climbing up with a sister traveling with us. This sister is from an ethnic minority, from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with excellent stamina; she guided and encouraged me to keep going. Thank you, Sister Xiaoman~ What does this photo want to say?... What does this photo want to say?... Under Sister Xiaoman's guidance, really using every ounce of strength, I climbed to an altitude of 4680 meters. The highest peak of Yulong Snow Mountain is over five thousand meters, but tourists can only reach 4680. Going further, I guess I couldn't either... But after all, I made it to the highest point allowed, worthy of commemoration. This photo: After about a 20-minute drive, we arrived at Blue Moon Valley. The guide explained that we could either take an electric cart or walk to visit Blue Moon Valley, and he'd wait for us at the end. Without question, we definitely chose walking; besides, the electric cart cost money. After arriving at Blue Moon Valley, Xiao Hei was clearly much better, her face no longer so pale, officially declaring a full recovery. A little face reveal~ haha~ What to say?... This photo: The time was around 1 pm, the sun was almost directly overhead, the light was too harsh... and you could feel the ultraviolet rays were extremely strong. Xiao Hei cried out that after going home, don't call her Da Hei... Alright... What to say?... This photo: What would it feel like to live here? Leave some space for yourself, slowly imagine. Around 3 pm, we started heading back to town. The guide said he could drop us at nearby Shuhe Ancient Town, but we'd have to take a ride back to the inn ourselves. Many people said Shuhe is a place well worth visiting, so we decided to check it out. Indeed, it's much quieter than Lijiang Old Town, and a great place to stay! In the evening, we ate the famous small pot rice in Shuhe Ancient Town, it was truly fragrant. The rice was so aromatic, many seasonings, cooked together, super fragrant, great, very delicious. The steam pot chicken soup was great, local free-range chicken, original flavor. The braised beef brisket was very good, generous portion, the brisket cooked just right, very good with rice. Also, water spinach flowers, a local vegetable, very good! This photo: Slowly, I walked to the foot of Lion Hill and met this old lady. I didn't know if she was buying something or waiting for her family to come home; she just stood at the doorstep, gazing into the distance. And what I did was pick up the camera, press the shutter, and capture this moment. What?... This photo: Get on the car, continue forward. Sitting and sitting, I became numb. Not only my head numb, but also my butt numb... Lugu Lake was still unknown in the distance. At this time, I really had to admire the road workers; you guys are truly amazing... With my head numb, I don't know how long it took, the driver stopped somewhere, turned around and told us, looking down here is Jinsha River, and also some eighteen bends or whatever (my head was dizzy, can't remember), everyone can get off and take photos. Before coming, I hadn't thought we'd pass by Jinsha River, and I suddenly became excited. Getting off and taking a look, I was also blown away... I feel I didn't capture the colors of Jinsha River well; it's like a winding emerald inlaid on this three-dimensional land. It's so quiet that from a distance you almost can't tell if it's flowing. The driver said we'd follow this serpentine mountain road in front to the opposite mountain of Jinsha River... Ahead, there are still countless mountains to cross. What?... This photo: After a nap, I felt better, but still a bit dizzy and weak. But time really can't be wasted like this, so I decided to go out for a walk. By then the sun had set, the temperature dropped a lot, put on a down jacket, set off. The inn was right by the lake, through the back door you could walk to the lake; this was my first close contact with her. Haha~ Behind the inn there was a small flower bed, planted with my favorite Gesang flowers, big love~ What?... This photo: About twenty minutes later, we arrived at Liwubi Island. It's actually a very small island, the highest point is a temple, and behind the island is Crocodile Island. On the island, I saw two ladies sitting on another boat, haha, let's sneak a shot from a distance~ What does this photo want to say?... This photo: I really envy the people living here a bit. Perhaps they are not wealthy, perhaps their lives lack certain material goods, but living here, what else is needed? Self-sufficient, at peace with the world, isn't this the most natural life? The azure lake water, like silk, soft, delicate and smooth! What does this photo want to say?... This photo: Actually... I really wanted to throw Xiao Hei into the water, let her lie on the lake surface for me to take a few shots, haha~ But, I guess, I might be beaten to death by her.. What does this photo want to say?... This photo: This should be the most bustling place around all of Lugu Lake, but if I had to choose again, I would still choose to stay in Daluoshui. I'm a guy who likes tranquility~ What to say?... This photo: Erhai before sunset, so serene that it seems to make people forget the passage of time. The sea breeze gently blows, moving not only the corners of our clothes but also our souls. Living in the city, we are bothered by too much noise and burdened by too much pressure. At this moment, people seem to return to a newborn state, all the dust of the bustling city is thoroughly washed away. Let's once again feel the tranquility here, just like this, quietly, quietly, lightly... What to say?... This is not a technical post; you won't find so-called travel guides here, only our memories. I hope everyone can keep joyfully walking on the road, to discover the beauty of our homeland~ Travelogue Index 1. Yulong Snow Mountain 2. Shuhe Ancient Town 3. Lijiang Old Town 4. Lugu Lake 5.
