If You Go to Dali This Autumn, Go Here! Find a Quiet Place, Give Your Heart a Home
I've been to many places and loved many places, but if there's one I'd return to again and again, it has to be Dali. The sunrise over Cangshan, the shimmering waves of Erhai, they've brought me countless moments of beauty. I remember the first time I went to Dali, my heart was restless. I wanted to wander the old town, taste the local delicacies, embrace Cangshan, and even merge into the azure Erhai... Back then, I planned extensively, afraid of missing any spot; even booking a hotel took me ages to compare. But later when I returned to Dali again, it was only to find a quiet place, to calm my somewhat restless heart. On life's journey, with its ups and downs, triumphs and defeats, I've always wanted to find a home for my soul. This autumn, if you go to Dali, don't bother with planning—just go stay at Boxin Yun She where I stayed! My favorite is that courtyard at Boxin Yun She. I remember when I visited in summer, the courtyard was full of fruits. Peaches and black plums were already ripe, while pomegranates and persimmons were still growing earnestly. A scene of thriving abundance. When you step into the courtyard in autumn, it will be a different sight. The persimmons deepen in color, the pomegranates grow plump, the jacaranda trees shed their leaves, and amidst the green, bright yellows appear—the courtyard feels even more profound. Perhaps, like me, you'll wonder: if I lived here long, would I ever tire of it? In the morning, you can go to the open-air garden, see the lovely greens, and chat with the Bai uncle about the weather and the clouds. The morning glow reddens Erhai, white clouds swirl around Cangshan. Sit on the rocking chair, swaying back and forth. Your body starts to drift, your heart filled with joy. In the afternoon, you can find a favorite corner in the Boxin courtyard, quietly soaking in the crispness of autumn. It could be by the pool, along the art corridor, or in the dry landscape garden. What I love most is the stone stool and table near the screen wall. The ground beside the table is covered with moss, and the tree above it still lush green, shading out much of the sunlight. Before nightfall, you can wander into the old town just over a hundred meters away. Dali's ancient town carries a thousand years of stories and vicissitudes, romance and the passage of time intertwined, hidden in every brick and tile. Climb the city wall, and all of Dali unfolds before you: on one side, dark green; on the other, bright yellow. Dali's autumn is richer in colors. As night flows into the alleys, lights begin to come on one by one. Stroll through the bar street, pause under rows of lanterns, and listen intently to that band's music. I don't know who they are, I'm just infected by their passion, standing there quietly, letting time slip by. Look up, the sky is dark blue, the moon like a hook. Amidst the bustling world, gazing up at the tranquil sky. You can walk from the south gate to the north gate, then back again. Pick up some seasonal fruit, buy some street skewers, and eat while observing passersby. Distractions vanish, only the deliciousness in your hands remains. Then stroll slowly back to Boxin Yun She. The lights in the courtyard are on, the water surface calm; perhaps the wind has already been here. Maybe the housekeeper, worried you can't see the way back clearly, will come and guide you across the Zhuanyun Bridge and the steps, smiling as they leave only after you enter the elevator. All the time spent in Dali is warm. At Boxin Yun She, every time I return to my 'exclusive master bedroom,' I love to take a bath. Having stayed at many hotels, there are few bathtubs I dare use without worry, but Boxin Yun She always gives me a reassuring feeling. Sprinkle in rose petals and bath salts, lie back in the large tub, and you'll achieve ultimate relaxation for body and mind. Each master bedroom here has an oversized space, a separate walk-in closet and vanity, and a terrace connected to the outdoors. The room amenities are also high-end: Mousse mattress, Fuanna Egyptian cotton bedding, imported Shiseido bath products... And there are my personal bamboo fiber towels, bath towels, peach wood comb, and linen slippers. Staying here feels like coming home. Waking up in the morning, opening sleepy eyes, there's hazy greenery before me, and looking up, a bright sky. Just one glance, and I know I'll be in a good mood. Standing on the balcony, sunlight greets my face. The spacious garden is full of vivid flowers; a gentle breeze passes, the delicate blooms sway, stirring a faint fragrance. Go to Boxin Yun She! Admire flowers while warming wine, taste tea brewed with snow, gaze upon the scenic beauty of Cangshan and Erhai, and let your soul find shelter here.
