A Private Tour for Two in Dali & Lijiang: Unforgettable Fun and Leisurely Charm in Shuanglang and Lijiang Old Town
On the first day, we stayed at Lijiang Fuhua Li Lang Resort, and it was really nice;
Plus, just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, you’ll find everything you need for dining, drinking, and entertainment. Whether it’s Lijiang Old Town, browsing music discs, listening to folk songs, guessing the meanings of Dongba murals, dressing up for an Instagram-worthy photo shoot... Or wandering through various handicraft shops, it’s the start of your very own trip! Travel in whatever way makes you most comfortable-----
Today’s hotel breakfast featured over 20 varieties. After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll set off to see the sacred mountain of the local Naxi people – Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
The national 5A scenic spot [Jade Dragon Snow Mountain] is called "Oulu" in the Naxi language, meaning the most holy "Heavenly Mountain" in the hearts of the Naxi. And the most scenic way to experience it is, of course, to take the premium [Glacier Cableway] (recommended visiting time from entering the mountain to taking the cableway and then visiting Blue Moon Valley is 4 hours) directly to the Glacier Park at 4,506 meters. (Warm reminder: In case of visitor flow restrictions, cableway maintenance, or strong winds, the Glacier Cableway may not operate. If that happens, we’ll switch to the Spruce Meadow Cableway and refund the price difference, ensuring you still enjoy the snow mountain views. Under normal circumstances, you can also freely choose between Glacier Park or Spruce Meadow.) After Glacier Park, take the scenic eco-bus to the internet-famous spot [Blue Moon Valley] (electric shuttle bus costs 60 RMB/person, please pay on your own) for a photo stop. It’s as beautiful as a fairy tale, shaped like a crescent moon, with blue water that rivals Jiuzhaigou. Taking photos here will surely make you the star of your social media feed.
Lunch: Considering the inconvenience of dining at high altitude, we recommend the convenient, nutritious, and warm buffet at Snow Kitchen.
The Snow Kitchen restaurant offers the best viewpoints, where you can enjoy highland cuisine while gazing at the magnificent scenery of the sacred mountain.
Afterwards, we head to [Direguo International Tourism Resort] (arrive at 18:00, and the rest of the time is yours), a leisure and vacation scenic area featuring a hot spring bathing culture. The sunset and cooking smoke over Cibi Lake next to it, as well as the morning mist and waterbirds on the lake, are uniquely beautiful and unmatched anywhere in the country.
The standard itinerary includes staying in a courtyard-style Bai ethnic room and enjoying natural sulfur hot springs in the resort’s open-air public starry-sky hot spring pool. Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the stars at night is incredibly romantic. This resort is Asia’s largest open-air natural sulfur hot spring area. Besides bathing, the landscaped grounds are perfect for a relaxing stroll with family and friends, enjoying your private vacation time.
If you want to share the joy of hot springs with your loved ones while also ensuring safety, hygiene, privacy, and exclusivity, we can offer an upgraded room with a private indoor soaking tub.
The breakfast at Direguo is abundant, but stepping out of the resort gate, the early morning beauty of Cibi Lake directly opposite seems even more alluring. Just don’t forget your meeting time with the guide and driver. Along the way, the agrarian life of the Bai people will captivate you, but try not to get too enchanted!
Next, we head to the most beautiful part of Erhai Lake to take the [Erhai Lake Cruise]. This is the place of the "Erhai Moon," one of Dali’s four iconic scenes of Wind, Flowers, Snow, and Moon. You’ll have plenty of time to soak in the Erhai atmosphere. From above, Erhai Lake looks like a crescent moon, quietly nestled between Cangshan Mountain and the Dali basin; its name "Ear-shaped Sea" comes from its shape resembling an ear. Then we’ll land on the "Relic Water City" [Jinsuo Island]. Seen from above, the small island is shaped like a weaving shuttle lying across Erhai Lake, hence the name Jinsuo (Golden Shuttle). According to local legend in Dali, a fairy good at weaving colorful brocades dropped her golden shuttle into Erhai Lake, and it transformed into an island, becoming this beautiful earthly scene. After that, we’ll explore the underground karst cave [Dragon Palace] and watch the grand original Bai ethnic song-and-dance performance "Charming Jinsuo: The Sea Cauliflower."
Then, driving along the most scenic road by Erhai Lake, we’ll arrive at [Dali Ideal Land - Santorini] (suggested photo and leisure time: 2 hours, or decide for yourself) for afternoon tea. The Greek Santorini is a romantic dream for many; here in Dali, there’s a “Little Santorini,” where you can see seaside cliffs reminiscent of the Aegean style of Santorini. While sipping afternoon tea and admiring Erhai Lake’s beauty, we’ve also arranged a special [Professional Travel Photoshoot] for you. These are professional photographers dispatched by agencies contracted with the three major e-commerce platforms, who will capture every stunning moment. You’ll also receive a digital album and 8 beautiful photos per person for free~
Stroll through [Shuanglang Ancient Town], acclaimed as the "Number One Town of Cang’er Scenery" (exploration time up to you). This town is known as the most livable place, with a saying: “Dali’s beauty lies in Cangshan and Erhai, and the best of that is in Shuanglang.” Everywhere in Shuanglang exudes a laid-back vibe, making it a perfect spot for travel photography and a haven for the art and hipster crowd. Here you’ll find a long-lost sense of relaxation. It’s a sunny travel destination nestled against mountains and facing the “sea,” with simple folk customs.
To provide you with a safe, private, and free dining environment with your loved ones, the distance between our hotels and restaurants is usually just a 5-10 minute walk. You can choose any restaurant to enjoy Shuanglang’s specialty cuisine, and you’ll be thoroughly satisfied. After dinner, you can take a leisurely walk through Shuanglang, enjoy the tranquil night, and then check into the hotel for a rest.
After enjoying the hotel’s delicious breakfast,
we’ll set off to the Cang’er International Tourism Resort. Backed by Cangshan Mountain and facing Erhai Lake, this 4A scenic area [Dali Ancient Town] (recommended visit: 2 hours, extendable as needed) is known as a famous city of historical records, where you can take in the iconic "Wind, Flowers, Snow, and Moon" scenery. The town still retains its layout from over 1,100 years ago. Listen to street musicians sing, meet international friends on Foreigner Street, explore boutiques... wherever you step, there’s scenery and fun.
Then we drive to the [Erhai Ecological Corridor] (recommended visit: 2 hours, you can arrange with the staff) (includes jeep and electric shuttle fees, photographer, and 4-8 free digital photos per family). Take a jeep to the Caicun Station of the Erhai Ecological Corridor, enjoying the pastoral scenery along Cangshan and Erhai Lake. Then switch to an eco-friendly electric shuttle to Longkan Ancient Ferry (where you can get right up close to Erhai Lake and the best photo spot on the corridor). Here you’ll enjoy the “most Dali” cozy lifestyle. Afterwards, at the [Yang Liping Grand Theater Cultural Square], soak in the stunning design of Dali’s new landmark, pose for jeep photos, and experience a perfect blend of wildness and art.
Dinner: Exclusive dining at Lanlinge RV Camp
Our dinner is a warm, romantic Western-style feast shared with family/friends at the Lanlinge RV Camp, nestled at the foot of Cangshan Mountain and beside Erhai Lake. The warm Chinese hospitality, the elegance of Western cuisine, and the beauty of Erhai Lake complement each other. Even lingering for a brief after-dinner rest, savoring lazy moments with your loved ones, is a pleasure.
After dinner, we head to Lijiang to check into the hotel and rest.
