Returning to Dali, I still love its mountains and waters, though I didn't get to experience the poetic 'Cangshan snow and Erhai moon' this time. Instead, I discovered a wellness inn that left a lasting impression.

When it comes to guesthouses in Dali, many travelers are familiar with the ones by Erhai Lake, but this time I stumbled upon a hidden gem. It’s the Dali Cangshan Lingquan Stream Mid-Mountain Wellness Inn.

The inn focuses on wellness, blending elements of Yunnan's ethnic minorities and nature into its design and environment.

Nestled at the foot of Sanyang Peak, one of the 19 peaks of Cangshan Mountain, the inn is traversed by Lingquan Stream, one of Cangshan's 18 streams. This creates a pristine, transcendent landscape nestled against Cangshan and facing Erhai Lake.

From the ground-floor lobby or the scenic rooms, you can take in sweeping views of the Dali Bai villages at the mountain's base and the Erhai Lake. The inn houses only 66 exquisite rooms and 3 villas, complemented by dining facilities, a meeting room, tea room, gym, and conference hall—offering a serene and comfortable retreat. It’s also ideal for corporate team-building.

I particularly love the front desk area on the first floor, where you can savor the inn's fine tea offerings while gazing out at nature through the windows. It's perfect for gathering with friends or for business discussions. If you're selecting a room, I recommend the sea-view rooms with stunning vistas. They come with comfortable lounge chairs, so you can lazily stretch out, sip tea at the tea table, or even do some work.

The room decor combines Bai-style dwellings with Chinese aesthetics, feeling both opulent and rich in ethnic character. The impeccably made bed always tempts me to take multiple photos. The handcrafted silk quilt and other bedding are from top-tier brands.

I must say, the owner has been meticulous with room amenities, ensuring guests enjoy the utmost comfort.

The inn's restaurant deserves praise, led by a renowned chef. It mainly serves Cantonese cuisine, fused with Sichuan-Yunnan dishes, Dali local specialties, and Western fare, catering to all palates. There are also five private dining rooms, convenient for group meetings or large family meals.

Guests can not only stroll around the inn's grounds but also walk to Lingquan Stream to soak in nature's beauty. Alternatively, you can drive to the popular S-bend by Erhai Lake, the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, Dali Ancient Town, and other attractions.
