Recommendation: Shiyan – Mountain and River Scenery in the Mountains!
When mentioning Shiyan, the first thing that comes to mind is Wudang Mountain. Shiyan is also the Truck Capital of China, with a long history and culture. When traveling to Shiyan, besides the well-known Wudang Mountain, there are also these places worth visiting!
Along the way, there are stone steps, ancient trees standing tall, and mist surrounding the mountain marsh. Upon reaching Qiongtai, looking up at the Golden Summit, it appears and disappears. A gust of mist drifts over, and the Golden Summit vanishes. The mountain is renowned far and wide, and at least every person should visit it once in their lifetime. I assume everyone knows about it, so I won’t elaborate further.
On the mountain, there are also many wild mushrooms, which feel quite interesting. There are quite a few mushrooms, and the environment is very good. Many trees, so large that one person cannot wrap their arms around them. It gives a feeling of returning to nature. At the peak, the scenery is beautiful, and you get the sense of all other mountains looking small in comparison. You can also experience the thrill of walking along a cliff edge.
It is also an important scenic spot of the Yeren (Wild Man) tourism culture in the Shennongjia Forest District. Yeren Cave, in Fang County, the elderly call it the Ancient Cave. Later, bats were discovered inside, so it is also called Bat Cave. The natural karst cave landscape is peculiar, as nature’s craftsmanship has created thousands of naturally formed stalactites in various poses on the cave rocks. It can be said to be worth a visit.
4. Wulong River Scenic Area
Located in Yunxi County, Shiyan City, not far from the county town, there is a place with beautiful mountains and clear waters, especially suitable for going out to breathe fresh air—a health and oxygen destination, perfect for relaxing your mood.
5. Jiulong Waterfall Scenic Area
The scenery is very beautiful, and the water is extremely clear. It is a natural scenic area with relatively low physical exertion. The mountain roads are mostly stone-paved with good conditions. Along the way, there are places to row boats. Nine dragons, all water dragons, with magnificent grandeur and beautiful scenery. Going upward with the slope, the steps are somewhat steep, and the water is emerald green, clear to the bottom, where swimming fish can be seen. Natural scenery: go see mountain and river waterfalls, play on zip lines, experience canyon expansion, and go to the Dragon Palace to burn incense and pray! You can also take a cliff train or bamboo rafts—very much worth a visit.
As for transportation, there are high-speed trains from Wuhan directly to Shiyan. Friends visiting Wuhan, don’t miss it!
