Taoist Sacred Land: Mount Wudang Part 6 – Golden Summit
The Golden Summit is a must-visit attraction when touring Mount Wudang. It takes half an hour by scenic shuttle from the Taizi Slope transfer station to Qiongtai (Zhongguan), where the cable car station is located, and one hour from the visitor center at the foot of the mountain to Qiongtai.

The road from Qiongtai (Zhongguan) parking lot to the cable car station passes by Zhongguan. Qiongtai Zhongguan is located at the southeastern foot of Tianzhu Peak, the highest peak of Mount Wudang. Zhongguan, also known as 'Ziyue Qiongtai', is the legendary place where Zhenwu attained enlightenment and received his title. It is one of the largest Taoist temples among the thirty-six temples on Mount Wudang. Zhongguan was first built in the Yuan Dynasty, and was repaired and expanded during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It currently has 14 ancient temple buildings, with the structures and ruins covering an area of 15,000 square meters. In Zhongguan, there is also preserved a Yuan Dynasty stone hall built from bluestone, which enshrines a Xuanwu holy statue carved from bluestone.
