⚠️Practical tips:
🔸Pack as light as possible; there are places within the scenic area where the shuttle bus cannot reach and you need to walk.
🔸Wear suitable and comfortable shoes 👟, and clothes that are quick-drying and windproof.
🔸Bring water‼️ You may also prepare some motion sickness medicine.
🔸Ignore the overly enthusiastic touts in the scenic area.
🔸If you plan to watch the sunrise at the Golden Summit 🌅, bring a long-distance lighting tool (preferably not a flashlight).
🉑Self-driving, 🉑plane, 🉑bullet train.
🚗If driving, park at the foot of the mountain; within the scenic area, travel by shuttle bus.
✈️Shiyan Station (shuttle bus to the foot of Wudang Mountain available).
🚝Wudangshan Station / Wudangshan West Station. West Station is closer to the scenic area. A DiDi ride takes about half an hour and costs around 25 yuan. Local taxi 🚕 starts at 4 yuan. It is recommended to book a ride in advance to avoid long waits, especially at night❗ Accommodation on the mountain or at the foot is convenient, with similar prices averaging 120 yuan, though the rooms at the foot are larger.
🎫Adult ticket for the scenic area is 235 yuan/person. Book one day in advance and enter with your ID card. 100 yuan of that is for the shuttle bus, which you can hop on and off freely. ⚠️Note: There are only two places within the scenic area that require an additional ticket to enter:
1⃣️ Purple Cloud Palace: 15 yuan/person
2⃣️ Golden Summit: 27 yuan/person

(From Crow Ridge Parking Lot to Golden Summit, walking normally takes about 1-2 hours.)
The cable car stops running after 4:30 pm, after which you can only walk down. Be sure to manage your time. The last shuttle bus returning to jQuery17106460757152833307_1649918169395 the scenic area entrance leaves around 6 pm (times may vary by season and crowd; always ask staff to avoid missing the last bus).
If you think you don't have enough time, go to Golden Summit first; visiting the rest (South Cliff, Prince Slope, Purple Cloud Palace, etc.) is optional.
Taking the cable car and hiking are two different routes.
The cable car is at Qiongtai.
Most people take the cable car up to Golden Summit, then walk down from Golden Summit to enjoy the scenery along the way.
Route 1: Visitor Center → Qiongtai (cable car) up → Golden Summit → Scenery along the way → Lamei Temple → South Cliff → Purple Cloud Palace → Carefree Valley → Prince Slope → Visitor Center. Go up by cable car, walk down.
Route 2: Visitor Center → Prince Slope → Carefree Valley → Purple Cloud Palace → South Cliff → Qiongtai (cable car) → Visitor Center. Cable car both ways.
💡Summary: If you want to hike, bring a thicker jacket, as the temperature difference between the mountainside and the summit is significant, and the wind at the top is strong. Also, a little tip for watching the sunrise 😌 Many people worry about not seeing the sunrise the next day 😘 If there are stars ✨ in the sky when you start climbing in the early morning, you will see the sunrise. If you don’t see stars, don’t worry—the sea of clouds is also beautiful. 👍

When I opened the booking app, the first one was 🌈 #Wudang Mountain Jingjian Renjia Inn. The pictures and descriptions were very appealing, so we chose it without hesitation. It turned out to be a great choice 😊. The reality was even better than the pictures 💯💯.
👏The room decoration is stylish, the beds are super clean—we were almost afraid to dirty the sheets. The large windows offer an excellent view. 💎We stayed in the Landscape Pavilion Twin Room. Sitting on the bed, you can see the mountains and cliff-hanging palaces. Suitable for two people, well-equipped, and the landlady is a great cook. Highly recommended. 🤔
The owner is very friendly and provides great service. I strongly recommend this place for your visit to Wudang Mountain.
When we went to watch the sunrise, the owner lent us headlamps and told us which route was safer and more convenient. 😘😘
The first floor serves as a dining and tea area with free tea—a famous Wudang green tea 🍵, which tastes great. I even brought some home for my family to try. 😬
We also ate at this guesthouse for convenience. The food was delicious, and everything from cooking to bathing uses Wudang Mountain spring water 💦. The landlady’s specialties include Wudang Jianhe fish, Wudang wild mushroom stewed chicken, Wudang wild bamboo shoots with cured meat, and Wudang longevity vegetables—all local dishes, delicious and healthy. 💯💯

🏷️Plan your itinerary based on your own schedule. The sunrise is a must-see experience, absolutely stunning‼️ Don’t tire yourself too much the day before, or your legs will suffer…
The purple tiles and red walls of Purple Cloud Palace are incredibly photogenic—choose your outfit accordingly.
☀️At Golden Summit, you can bring your own lock 🔒 or buy one for 20 yuan (engrave your name and lock it yourself).
🚡Cable car tickets can be bought on the spot. The cable car opens after sunrise.
🏠If you stay near Seven Star Tree with luggage, you can hire a porter to carry it to South Cliff for about 30 yuan.
