Amazing Village | With Both... and... Truly a Hidden Gem!
Liujiashan Village is located in the southern suburb of Chengguan Town, Zhushan County,
9 km from the county seat.
It lies along the Du River Eco-Cultural Tourism Belt,
with abundant water and a pleasant climate.
The national 3A-level scenic area—Nüwa Tianchi (Goddess Nüwa Heavenly Pond) Scenic Area—is situated here. Covering an area of 80 square kilometers, it is surrounded by mountains, with clear waters, green hills, and the fragrance of tea and fruit. It is an ideal destination for nature sightseeing, leisure and wellness, and farming experiences.
In the center of Nüwa Tianchi, there is a beautiful fairy island in the water, like a gem fallen from the sky, set upon the lovely lake surface.
Green waters, green mountains, tiled houses, and cooking smoke gather here, presenting a picture of a paradise on earth, refreshing the mind and captivating the heart.
During this season of lush grass, singing birds, and fragrant flowers, it is a perfect time for a trip. Why not bring your family here to embrace nature and enjoy the beauty?
Who would have thought that in such a small village, there is both the largest artificial earth-dam reservoir in Asia and thousands of acres of tea terraces like layers of jade belts? Speaking of which, a beautiful legend unfolds.
Legend has it that when the ancient goddess Nüwa was refining five-colored stones to mend the sky, her carrying pole suddenly broke while she was walking, and a stone fell, leaving a mountain named Huo Mountain. The river at the foot of Huo Mountain was thus named the Huo River.
For many years, the local people relied on it for their livelihoods. To allow this "mother river" to benefit more people, they built the Huohe Reservoir, known as the "largest man-made earth-dam reservoir in Asia." From power generation to aquaculture, from irrigation to flood control, the waters of Liujiashan became clearer and the mountains greener. The thousand acres of tea terraces nestled by the mountains and rivers have brought the villagers a happy life.
Spring arrives as promised; tea emerges in season. In Zhushan, at 30 degrees north latitude, the tea gardens, after the winter's rest, under the nourishment of sunlight and rain, sprout thousands of tender buds, lush and verdant. The fragrance of tea fills the mountains, refreshing the spirit.
Every March and April, tea-picking women carry bamboo baskets on their backs, their hands dancing nimbly over the tea trees, filling the baskets with tender green leaves.
Tea farmers are accustomed to picking spring tea, as well as summer and autumn tea. With the increase in tea income, the villagers' lives have been improving day by day.
Another beautiful spring has arrived, and Liujiashan is filled with moving green hues. Come here to sip a cup of tea, enjoy a farmhouse meal, and with the time of one cup of tea, embrace the entire spring, letting worries drift away with the wind.
In recent years, Liujiashan Village has adhered to the "Two Mountains" concept,
working together for green development,
hitching a ride on the "rural revitalization express."
Centering on the themes of mountains, water, and tea,
promoting coordinated development of production, ecology, and living,
integrating cultural heritage with natural resources.
You don't have to choose between the moon and sixpence;
the lucid waters and lush mountains and deep nostalgia for home
don't have to be a choice either.
