Nani? Several 'Seas' Appear in Shiyan in April!
Wudang Mountain has always been the home of sea of clouds.
Every spring, the weather changes rapidly,
With bright sunshine or sudden spring rain,
But on the high peaks,
You can always encounter the sea of clouds unexpectedly,
As if stepping into a fairyland.
The highest peak of Wudang Mountain, Tianzhu Peak, is 1,612 meters above sea level. Due to its relatively high altitude, during seasonal transitions or weather changes, water vapor evaporates and condenses, easily forming sea of clouds, often creating the spectacular 'Land Tide Rush'. Whenever you encounter the sea of clouds, the Golden Summit is shrouded in thick white mist, with the exposed peaks floating like immortal islands in the clouds, making visitors feel as if they are in a fairyland.
If you encounter the sea of clouds on a sunny day, you can see the clouds bathed in sunlight, as if edged with gold, radiating light through the layers, vividly dyeing the entire sky, brilliant and magnificent.
If you come after rain or snow, it's another scene entirely. Amid the drifting sea of clouds, the agile ancient architectural complex appears faintly, and the fairy mountain scenery is like an ink painting, leaving endless imagination and yearning.
Perhaps there is no place closer to the sky than here. Looking around, mist fills the air, the sea and sky merge into one, and you feel you could almost touch the ethereal little clouds with your hand. In this life, watching such a sea of clouds with the one you love is truly worthwhile.
The gentle sunlight and spring breeze
Caress your face, bringing a hint of intoxication,
Watching light and shadow crisscross through the forest,
Filling the soul with touches of green.
In April, the nanmu forest sea
Is quietly changing into a new green dress.
Looking out, spring is all bright and lovely.
Located in Xinzhou Town, Zhuxi County, the Nanmu Village Scenic Area is known as 'Five Waters Converge, the Hometown of Nanmu'. It contains over 400 wild nanmu trees, including 196 with a diameter of 10-100 cm, heights ranging from 15 to 40 meters, covering an area of about 2,500 square meters. The largest nanmu tree is over 400 years old, making it the largest golden nanmu community discovered in Hubei Province to date.
Historically, both banks of the Shi River in Xinzhou, Zhuxi, were a dense nanmu belt. This golden nanmu group survives in clusters, rare worldwide, becoming a living fossil of Chinese golden nanmu. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, when the Forbidden City was being renovated in the north, nanmu timber was logged in Zhuxi and transported to Beijing by water, thus Zhuxi nanmu is known as 'Imperial Tribute Wood'.
Here, you can stroll through the forest sea, gently inhaling the faint fragrance of new leaves, refreshing your mind; or take a boat on the lake, enjoying the freedom of the wild.
The warm spring sun gently sprinkles over
Kanzishan Village, the highest-altitude village in Hubeikou Township, Yunxi County.
Sunlight and stone forest complement each other,
From a distance, it looks like a sea of people and an array of warriors,
Up close, it resembles birds and beasts, lying down and standing up,
Overwhelming and awe-inspiring.
Kanzishan Village is located on the top of Daliang Mountain at the border of Qin and Chu, known as 'the village on a precipice'. With an average altitude of 1,200 meters, the highest peak Niutouling reaches 1,799 meters. It belongs to the ancient Hercynian folded mountains, composed mainly of calcareous sandstone, typical karst landforms, standing proudly atop the Yunxi Ridge. Its unique geographical location creates the Kanzishan Stone Forest landscape.
As a national 3A-level scenic area, the Kanzishan Stone Forest is covered with stone forests, with rocks of various shapes rising from the mountains. Stone peaks and stalagmites are scattered everywhere, forming a 'Stone Forest Museum' that amazes visitors.
Here, you can witness geological changes spanning hundreds of millions of years in the stone sea, marveling at the winding stone maze; or taste the halal 'Eight Big Bowls' at a local farmhouse, where authentic beef and mutton bring back memories of local flavor.
The warm sun brings the perfect season for flower viewing.
In the vast flower sea of Huanglong No.1 Ecological Park,
Eyefuls of tulips are blooming proudly.
This year, the park's tulip planting area reaches 100 mu, with over 100 varieties. Tulip varieties such as 'Royal Red' and 'Algarve' are in full bloom. The scenic area has also added species like February Orchid and Corn Poppy. Millions of tulips are blooming successively, turning the entire scenic area into a flower sea, allowing you to experience pure Dutch style without leaving Shiyan.
A gentle breeze passes, branches sway, and walking among them, a faint fragrance clings to your clothes for a long time. Each flower blooms to its fullest beauty, and walking in the fragrance, you can't help but become intoxicated.
Here, you can fly a kite while running among the tulips, or spread a picnic mat and quietly stare at the vast flower sea, feeling the gentle touch of the spring breeze. Don't forget to check out the Cherry Blossom Corridor, the popular little train, and the land go-karts.
