But that's not the case; summer is the true charm of Mount Wudang. It enjoys reputations such as 'the most serene place under heaven' and 'one of the top ten summer resorts in China'.

Why can Mount Wudang become a cool paradise in the 'furnace' province?

Mount Wudang belongs to the eastern section of the Daba Mountains, located between the Qinling Mountains and the Ba Mountains, with the Han River passing through. The climate is pleasant. To the north, the Qinling Mountains block the cold air from the north in winter; to the south, the Daba Mountains intercept the humid warm air in summer. The comfortable feeling of 'cold but not biting, hot but not sweltering' is perfectly realized here.

The poem 'Step into Mount Wudang, the scenery is deep and serene; the scorching June turns into autumn' perfectly describes the summer of Mount Wudang. In summer, the mountain is shrouded in purple haze, mist rises with the wind, and clouds fill the valleys, truly giving the feeling of a fairy mountain.

The Huxiao Tan Natural Scenic Area is located in Daliu Township, Yunyang District, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. The Hubei-Shaanxi highway runs close by and passes through the area, making it a must-pass route connecting Mount Wudang, Shiyan City, and the ancient city of Xi'an.

The scenic area has a mild climate with distinct seasons, with an average daily temperature not exceeding 13°C to 16°C. 'The sun doesn't burn the skin, and the night doesn't chill the body,' making it an ideal place for summer cooling and year-round leisure.

Away from the urban area, the forests and valleys are serene, ancient trees tower, natural vegetation is intact, and forest resources are abundant. It has the reputation of a 'natural oxygen bar'. It is the true place for people to explore the ancient and seek tranquility, return to simplicity, and rejoin nature.

The Huxiao Tan area is rich in natural resources, with over thirty landscapes, mainly featuring deep gorges, steep cliffs, cascading waterfalls, secluded caves, strange rocks, and beautiful waters. There are Red River Valley, Tiger Mouth Beach, Emerald Ladder, Yuemu Island Mulong Temple ruins, etc. It collects the beauty of thrill, danger, wonder, splendor, elegance, and steepness.

Breathe fresh air, and the beauty of nature unfolds before your eyes. Green mountains, clear waters, layered green hills, and lush trees. The stream flows sometimes slow, sometimes swift, full of the breath of life.

The Nine Dragon Waterfall is located in the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains, in the high mountains bordering Nanhuatang Town and Daliu Township at the junction of Hubei, Henan, and Shaanxi provinces. With steep cliffs, deep ravines, and valley waterfalls, the highest summer temperature is 28°C, making it nature's 'air conditioner'.

The waterfall group consists of nine natural landscapes: Black Dragon Spring Waterfall, Dragon Gate Waterfall, Lotus Terrace Waterfall, Dragon Palace Waterfall, Azure Dragon Waterfall, White Dragon Waterfall, Fragrant Water Waterfall, Flying Dragon Waterfall, and Crouching Dragon Waterfall. Breathtaking!

The cliff sightseeing train in the scenic area is a major feature, located on the cliff on the west side of Nine Dragon Lake.

In addition, the bamboo rafting in the valley is also highly recommended. Ride a bamboo raft and experience the artistic conception of 'only this green' amidst the lake and mountain scenery. With green mountains on both sides, the valley bamboo rafts come towards you, creating a paradise-like scene of 'serene mountains, beautiful waters, and pleasant people'.

Summer at the Five Dragons River is quiet and cool. The temperature in the valley during the dog days remains between 18-25°C. Being there, cool breezes come in gusts, refreshing the body and mind, incredibly comfortable.

Threads of water as thin as silver silk emerge from the dense water grass and fall into the strange stone beach below, like scattered pearls, silver flowers dancing, and water splashes drifting with the wind, so cool.

Summer at the Five Dragons River holds a temptation. When you approach the crystal-clear riverbank, you naturally feel the urge to go barefoot into the river and have an intimate contact with it. So clear that you can count the pebbles and watch the fish swimming at the bottom of the pool, clean without any impurities or dust.

The Qixi Story Garden in Yunxi County covers an area of 21,000 square meters and is the world's first Qixi (Chinese Valentine's Day) cultural theme park. It mainly features sculptures such as 'Driven Out of Home', 'The Old Cow Puts in a Word', 'Stealing Clothes to Get Married', 'Heavenly Bliss on Earth', 'Separated by the Milky Way', 'Meeting on the Magpie Bridge', as well as facilities like the time-space tunnel and musical fountain.

Qixi is in China, and the Milky Way is in Yunxi. The ancient and civilized Han River, along with the unique Tianhe (Milky Way) in Yunxi, nurtured the loyal and romantic love legend of Niulang and Zhinü (the Cowherd and the Weaving Maiden).
