Longmen Ancient Town in Fuyang — Sun Quan's Hometown, a Magical Maze-like Place
This trip took us to Longmen Ancient Town in Fuyang, also known as 'Sun Quan's Hometown.' Over 90% of the villagers in Longmen are descendants of Sun Quan, the Great Emperor of Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period. According to genealogical records, from the time of Sun Quan to the 28th year of the Republic of China (1939), the Sun clan had already reached the 65th generation.
1. Transportation:
Bus: From downtown Fuyang to Longmen Ancient Town is only 20 kilometers, with dozens of minibuses running every day.
Self-driving:
From Shanghai: Depart from Shanghai Zhijiang Road Bus Station; there are four buses to Fuyang daily, taking about three hours.
Longmen Ancient Town Ticket Information:
① Opening hours: 8:00–17:00
② Child tickets: Height 1.2m–1.5m tickets cost 35 yuan; free for those under 1.2m.
③ Seniors over 60 with a senior card: 35 yuan per person.
④ The ticket is all-inclusive; there are no additional fees for smaller attractions within the scenic area.
Gluten puffs (mianjin) are a specialty food of Longmen Ancient Town.
