Yuedong ATV: Driving the Land Overlord, Traversing Mountains, Youth Means Going Wild
All Terrain Vehicle, commonly known as ATV. Powerful and untamed, it can roam freely across deserts, grasslands, gobi, ravines, and rough terrain—truly the 'King of the Land'! Extreme challenge spirit and ultimate control are the two hallmarks of ATV.
Jingshan is located in Yuhang District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, where green tea is grown everywhere. The camp also has a large mud track designed for us to learn and practice ATV riding. Behind it is a 'Rainbow Mountain,' where you can enjoy grass sliding! Further up, you'll reach the mountaintop, and that's where we had our BBQ~
The above is just a glimpse of the camp scenery!
Price: 50 RMB per person, all-you-can-eat (with meat and vegetable options).
Details: I personally love BBQing with a group of friends, adding beer (we brought our own), and playing some upbeat music. With good food, friends, music, and great views, it's an outdoor party. Just kidding—if you can't hold your liquor, don't drink, or wait until after riding the ATV, otherwise it might be considered 'drunk driving'? Hehe~
Details: Since the ATV ride is quite long, and the previous group might not have finished yet, the camp thoughtfully prepared small activities like grass sliding and archery to pass the time. You can try them freely, as many times as you like.
Grass sliding: The experience was pretty good and worth trying. The first half of the slide was quite thrilling, haha~
Archery: Just average, but it works as a casual time-filler.
❤ ATV All-Terrain Vehicle ❤
Price: 200 RMB per person
Duration: 1.5–2 hours total
Terrain: Dirt paths + gravel roads + rocky trails + mud pits, crossing two mountain ridges
Details: Before officially heading up the mountain, you first learn how to drive, then practice (with a test). Only after passing can you ride into the hills (two ladies in our group couldn't manage and ended up riding with the instructor). Driving an ATV, I feel, requires some arm strength. On rocky sections, with stones piled up, you need strong arms to control the steering wheel, or the vehicle will veer off course.
Clothing tip: Wear long pants, long pants, long pants (can't say it enough). Probably due to the ATV engine, the engine area gets very hot after sitting for a while. No long pants? It'll burn all your leg hair off~
Just my personal photo tips; I'm not a professional photographer, so no harsh criticism please.
Camera gear suggestions: GoPro, phone, drone (if you know how to use it).
Portrait + Scenery Shots:
[Photography] The scenery here is really beautiful, and I personally liked a few photo spots that I'd recommend.
1. The circular staircase of the mountaintop building: Shoot from a high angle downward, leaving some space on the left side—super easy to get a great shot. (In the photo my friend took, there wasn't enough space on the left, so the angle wasn't perfect. You can adjust on your own!)
2. The tea garden behind the summit: Standing in the garden offers a vast view. Wherever the person stands, photos turn out beautiful. For portrait-focused shots, zoom in closer to highlight the subject—a model looking back with a smile is lovely~
3. The rooftop of the mountaintop building: The rooftop offers panoramic views and is also perfect for photos~
Portrait + ATV Shots:
[Photography] I'm not an expert on angles, but I suggest shooting with the sky as the backdrop—it makes the frame look much cleaner.
[Styling] Choose a 'dirtier' ATV. I think a spotless one doesn't look as 'cool + wild.' The styling vibe for ATV shots should be 'cool + wild'—imagine yourself as a panther or a rebellious cat posing on the ATV. The ATV is large enough that you can climb onto it, prop your foot on the handlebars, and let your eyes do the acting, radiating that untamed wildness.
[Camera] For first-person view, use a GoPro mounted on the front of the vehicle—it captures the ride's feel perfectly. Never try to hold your phone while driving; it's very dangerous. The mountain road (especially the rocky parts) demands a lot of arm strength, so for safety, stick to the GoPro.
