Two-Day Tour of Huangshan

As the epidemic eases, I traveled with my wife and daughter. Despite reading many guides, we still couldn't avoid some pitfalls. Writing this for travelers' convenience.

1. Clothing. We climbed on July 31. Prepared a thin down jacket, a bag of snacks, and three bottles of water. I wore slightly more than usual, changing into summer long pants and a short-sleeved T-shirt. (In actual trip, found it better to wear quick-dry clothes; shorts are fine. Bring fewer snacks, as there are small shops along the way, and public restrooms offer free drinking water. The down jacket is for sunrise; if staying at a mountain top hotel, they provide them.)

2. Travel. Try to travel light, reduce load. Pay attention to shoes; old or ill-fitting ones are not suitable—old shoes are prone to spraining ankles. Also, slip resistance is important.

3. Accommodation. The first choice is Guangmingding Mountain Villa, convenient for watching sunrise and sunset; Bai'e Mountain Villa is also good, and if you can go up to the TV station, the view is convenient. Other places generally require some walking.

Fee: 75 yuan. Transfer vehicles take you directly to Yungu Cable Car.
