I had long yearned for the peculiar pines and sea of clouds at Huangshan, and had wanted to visit for a long time, but never made the trip until this spring.

In the summer of 2021, most places in Jiangnan were exceptionally hot and long; in early July, after a brief visit under the scorching sun to Weizhou Island, I began a long period of staying at home, which eventually saw off the intense heat and ushered in the cool autumn. Golden autumn is an excellent time for travel; if I didn't take some concrete action, I would feel I was letting the season down. So I picked a nearby destination I wanted to visit—Wuyuan and Huangshan—made some preparations, and set off by car.

Day 5 of Total Trip, Saturday, October 31, Second Day of Climbing Huangshan

I've longed to visit Huangshan for a long time, having researched various guides online for at least two or three months, but my friends are all lazybones.

Having climbed Mount Tai and Mount Song, I finally made it to Huangshan. The reason I chose to climb Huangshan was not just for the Greeting Pine, but more to witness the ever-changing scenery on the mountain.

My trip to Huangshan this time was actually very simple. I booked everything online in advance and then left it to my friend, because we are both from Anhui, so the entrance fee was waived for us.
