Yes, everyone yearns for Jiuzhaigou Paradise, and I am no exception, hahaha. So during the summer vacation, I took my family on a self-driving trip to Jiuzhaigou. It was really, really enjoyable, but also very tiring, so tired but happy.
As the saying goes, "Before the troops move, provisions go first." The same applies to traveling. After choosing the destination, the next step was to search for destination guides and then find a hotel. We had a painful lesson before: not booking in advance, ending up with no accommodation at night, and spending a miserable night in the car. The next day, we had no energy to enjoy the scenery.
So let me first talk about accommodation. Because I wanted to be close to the Jiuzhaigou scenic area, I found a hotel on Ctrip. It opened last year, has good reviews, and the decoration is in a designer style, so I decisively booked it.

【Accommodation Environment】
The room was very spacious, about 35-40 square meters. The bedding was of good quality, and the whole family rested very well. Breakfast was also quite rich. I have been to many scenic areas, and comparatively, this was very good. There was a TV in the room, and the decoration style, like many designer hotels, was thoughtfully designed. It looked like a newly renovated hotel, giving me a feeling of understated luxury and connotation. From the window of the view room, you could see beautiful scenery.
As a four-star hotel, the service at Banshan Yueshe Theme Art Resort Hotel is also worth mentioning. They offer airport pickup service and free parking, which is especially convenient for self-driving tourists. The hotel staff were all very warm and hospitable, friendly. It was a bit cold at night, so they added extra blankets for us, worried that our son might be cold.
【Scenic Spots】
Next, let me introduce my itinerary for these few days of self-driving. We came from Songpan, played there for a few days, and then came to Jiuzhaigou. We parked the car at the hotel, and the hotel staff took us to the scenic area. Actually, it was very close.
The scenery here really treated my eyes to a feast. It was even more comfortable than in the photos, including the promotional videos I had seen before. This time, I personally visited it. It truly deserves to be called an earthly paradise, a 5A-level scenic area.
Jiuzhaigou is located in Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It lies at the transitional zone from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and western Sichuan Plateau to the Sichuan Basin, more than 300 kilometers south of Chengdu. It is a mountain valley extending over 50 kilometers deep, with a total area of 64,297 hectares and a forest coverage rate exceeding 80%. It is named after the nine Tibetan villages scattered in this alpine lake area, such as Shuzheng Village, Heye Village, and Zechawa Village.
The main protected objects of Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve are rare animals like giant pandas and golden monkeys, as well as their natural ecological environment. There are 74 species of nationally protected rare plants, 18 species of nationally protected animals, and abundant paleontological fossils and ancient glacial landforms.
"No need to look at water after returning from Jiuzhaigou" is a true interpretation of Jiuzhaigou's scenery. Springs, waterfalls, rivers, and 108 lakes form colorful jade basins of the Heavenly Pond. The six major landscapes—Long Lake, Sword Rock, Nuorilang, Shuzheng, Zharu, and Black Sea—are distributed in a "Y" shape. Emerald Lakes, Layered Waterfalls, Colorful Forests, Snowy Peaks, Tibetan Customs, and Blue Ice are known as the "Six Wonders." Magical Jiuzhaigou is praised by the world as a "fairy tale world" and is reputed as the "king of waterscapes."
We spent one day, and since we were traveling with family, we basically covered it all. Taking a family photo together at the earthly paradise Jiuzhaigou was one of the gains of this trip, and it will become a wonderful memory in our lives. Though it was tiring, the beautiful scenery did not disappoint me, hahaha. Looking forward to our next stop.
