Cycling to Lhasa to see the beautiful Potala Palace: An unforgettable 45-day, 5,500km journey from Shanghai

In the autumn of 2017, I went on a solo cycling trip on a whim. Starting from People's Square in Shanghai, I rode westward along National Highway 318, covering 5,500 kilometers over 45 days to reach Lhasa in Tibet. Along the way, I experienced the full range of emotions — the sweet and the bitter — and was surrounded by endless stunning scenery.
