Lijiang Travel Diary: A Vibrant Day in Dayan and Shuhe
Our itinerary was quite relaxed!
We slept in until we naturally woke up—see, we didn't head out until noon!
Now that's what you call relaxing!
Hey! Say hello!
It rained yesterday, but today the scenery is absolutely stunning.
The weather really changes as fast as your mood!
We were worried what we'd do if it rained every day!
Luckily, we got pretty lucky!
With fine weather, we could finally take some great photos!
We wandered around looking for delicious food.
We passed these places just yesterday, but today we still had no clue how to get around—every little cobblestone path looks identical. We really had to rely on our buddy to lead the way!
This is the heart of Lijiang Old Town—Sifang Street.
Famous for its unique streetscape paved with colorful stones, washed with clear water, bustling with markets at noon and swept clean at dusk.
The brighter my mood, the brighter my smile!
Old towns these days are getting more and more commercialized—it's mostly about strolling around, wandering, and checking out quirky little trinkets!
Dongba Wishing Bells can be seen in many places, especially in Dayan Old Town and Shuhe Old Town.
Reading the words written on them warms your heart—each bell holds an unfinished story!
A few minutes' walk from the door and you're in Shuhe Ancient Town.
The environment is nice, quite comfortable! We stayed in a family room with two beds, four of us!
They say the dogs in Shuhe live a pretty laid-back life.
Throughout Shuhe Ancient Town, you can see dogs lounging everywhere—sunbathing, snoozing!
Everyone in our group was scared of dogs except for Kop, who not only wasn't afraid but actually likes big dogs because they look cool!
The rest of us kept our distance.
I really like Shuhe; it feels even quieter and more comfortable than Dayan Old Town!
It was my first visit, and I already loved it so much that later, after going to Lugu Lake, we came back here to spend another day.
Hey, sunflowers!
A smile sweeter than flowers!
Build memories, don't just live in them.
Create the future, don't just fantasize about one.
Focus on the present.
I always keep that saying in mind.
This doggy gent seemed a bit dismissive of me!
Wouldn't even glance my way.
Such an adorably funny expression!
Ding ding dang dang, dang dang ding ding.
Before we knew it, the sky darkened!
If the guy in front were replaced by a girl holding an oil-paper umbrella, it would definitely be even more charming!
Why live life in such a rush?
Why not savor every little moment,
cherishing each step on the journey!
This is my favorite shop so far! Five stars for sure!
First, the service is excellent—the staff speak gently and answer every question, and they even gave us a complimentary soup. It was delicious! The complimentary iced jelly was also amazing!
'Small Pot Rice' was super tasty! The potatoes were crispy on the outside, creamy inside, with bits of meat in every bite (ham?)!
'Braised Lamb'—this braised lamb hit all the right notes for my taste buds, so flavorful! In short, you absolutely must come and eat here! It's truly delicious!
