It goes without saying that friends who love high-end hotels are familiar with Club Med. Since entering the Chinese market, Club Med has set up four exquisite all-inclusive resorts in Sanya, Guilin, Yabuli, and Beidahu, covering diverse themed holiday experiences such as winter skiing, summer mountain retreats, and sunny beaches, deeply favored by Chinese consumers.

As a French leisure holiday brand with over 70 years of history, Club Med currently operates nearly 70 resorts in over 40 countries and regions worldwide. With its classic "exquisite all-inclusive" holiday, international G.O (Gentle Organizer) culture, all-age children's care services, and exciting evening parties, it has created unique and unforgettable holiday memories for guests around the globe, becoming the leading brand of "exquisite all-inclusive" holidays worldwide.

In 2015, Fosun successfully acquired Club Med, and since then, this brand with romantic French genes has officially entered the Fosun era and embarked on a rapid development pace. In 2018, the brand made a significant move with its opening in Hokkaido, Japan, and later launched the sub-brand Joyview, entering markets such as the capital Beijing and the beautiful countryside of Anji, further enriching and perfecting the tourism and resort landscape.

The 2021 Fosun Family Season kicks off today, themed "Star China Chic · Family Carnival." It links multiple cities including Shanghai, Chongqing, Xi'an, and Lijiang, combining online and offline efforts, organically connecting over 70 health, happiness, and prosperity eco-brands under Fosun. Perfectly blending traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern trendy styles, it sets off a unique Fosun-style "Star China Chic," bringing a joyful "Family Carnival" to thousands of families.

As a key event during this Fosun Family Season, the Club Med Lijiang Resort, bathed in the rich national tide and ethnic style of Lijiang, grandly opened in the golden autumn of 2021, becoming the first Club Med in Southwest China. It also marks the completion of the first core element within the Foliday Town · Lijiang Mediterranean International Resort, a one-stop comprehensive living and vacation destination developed by Fosun Tourism and Culture in Lijiang. Notably, as Fosun Tourism and Culture's own "tourism destination" brand, this is also the global debut of the "Foliday Town" brand.

By integrating Lijiang's magnificent and diverse ecological wonders with its brilliant culture spanning millennia, Club Med Lijiang Resort aims to create a refined holiday experience filled with Naxi charm and heartwarming comfort for global consumers.

Including the Club Med resort, Foliday Town · Lijiang Mediterranean International Resort covers a total area of 1,300 mu. The interior preserves the original ecological appearance of meadows, streams, trees, and more, striving to create a hidden paradise where nature speaks and people can freely and spontaneously explore the unknown.

CLUB MED LIJIANG

Club Med Lijiang Resort

This is a delightful resort village nestled at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, beside the Naxi ancient village of Baisha Ancient Town. On one side lies the majestic and pristine splendor of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and on the other, a bearer of authentic Naxi culture. Unlike other resort hotels, it exudes a warm charm closer to family life, and its all-inclusive accommodation and fun experience offer a whole new way to discover Lijiang.

PART 1

Comfortable Guest Rooms Full of Naxi Charm

The resort is adjacent to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Baisha Ancient Town, so the designer used a modern style to recreate traditional Naxi architectural features. The hotel buildings blend characteristics of Han, Bai, and Tibetan styles, fully reflecting the harmonious beauty of Naxi culture. Scattered Naxi courtyards form the main accommodation area, with all guest rooms located within these courtyards, offering picturesque views at every step—each with its own unique charm.

Club Med Lijiang Resort mainly offers three types of guest rooms, with indoor areas starting from 40 square meters, all equipped with scenic terraces. The rooms are decorated in deep purplish red, blue, and gray tones, and the materials and decorative elements used reflect traditional Naxi culture, creating a warm and refined atmosphere. The embroidery on headboards and cushions, along with other decorative accents, all showcase traditional Naxi cultural characteristics.

As the flagship room type, the Family Deluxe Room has an indoor area of 65 square meters, accommodating up to 4 adults and 1 child, making it ideal for family trips where parents and children can enjoy separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Solid wood furniture, textured wooden floors, and strong ethnic-style decorations perfectly blend natural elements with traditional Naxi culture, adding an even cozier ambiance to the room.

On the room's terrace, guests can either admire the nearby alpine meadows or gaze at the spectacular Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, enjoying the refreshing embrace of nature at any time.

PART 2

Feasting at Three Themed Restaurants

Within Club Med Lijiang Resort, there are three themed restaurants and two specialty bars. All guests on the all-inclusive plan can enjoy three meals a day here (a small number of dishes may incur extra charges), and this carefree "ready-to-eat" freedom is the ultimate holiday we all pursue.

As the resort's main restaurant, Baisha Restaurant features themes of copper, paper, wood, and pottery, perfectly integrating with local craftsmanship. This all-day dining restaurant offers a wide range of international and local cuisines, likely to be a favorite among children. After dining, stepping onto the lawn right in front of the restaurant, guests can take in the unobstructed majestic beauty of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain—the biggest surprise this restaurant has to offer.

Sifang Restaurant is the first new-concept gourmet restaurant among all Club Med resorts in China. Its decor is full of elements that return to nature—wallpaper with botanical prints, large wooden sculptures resembling tree trunks, and more. Clearly, this is a specialty restaurant rich in local flavor, featuring traditional Naxi cuisine, seasonal Yunnan dishes, and much more. By sourcing the freshest local ingredients and combining globally popular cooking techniques, it creates refreshing Yunnan cuisine while preserving the original flavors.

Inside the indoor sports center, Shuhe Restaurant draws inspiration from the local natural environment, using wooden floors, plant walls, green tiles, and more to blend seamlessly with the surroundings. It is an ideal spot for relaxation and energy replenishment, offering a rich variety of nutritious and healthy food every day. Guests can choose from surf bowls and Asian-style snacks. Gather here with friends and family to reward your taste buds with delicious food.

For those who enjoy drinking, don't miss Dayan Bar. The resort's main bar continues the natural-themed decor, with blue-toned walls echoing the nearby Blue Moon Valley at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Colorful paddle blades on the walls and a large chandelier resembling a fishing basket are full of ethnic elements. It offers selected beverages from local and global sources. After nightfall, enjoy a leisurely cocktail while watching a spectacular live band show.

LANYUE

For guests who prefer lounging outdoors and soaking up the sun, I recommend Lanyue Bar. This poolside bar has a more laid-back and lazy vibe, with an outdoor area featuring jacuzzis and loungers. Whether you sit in the pavilion enjoying quiet moments, lie in the jacuzzi while receiving water massage, or sip fresh juices and craft cocktails, never forget to admire the magnificent Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance.

PART 3

Indoor and Outdoor, Tranquil and Active, Everything You Need

At Club Med Lijiang Resort, an array of indoor and outdoor activities can make you completely lose track of time and fully immerse yourself in a carefree leisure holiday. Remember to get a resort activity schedule or contact a G.O to arrange each fun activity properly.

This is the unique and proudest feature of every Club Med—within the club, professional G.Os accompany and care for children throughout, allowing both adults and kids to enjoy themselves in their own way. The club is divided by age into Petit (2-3 years, extra fee required), Mini (4-10 years), and Junior (11-17 years), corresponding to different courses. Whether searching for local treasures, exploring the natural world, or engaging in various educational games and experiencing new sensations, children of all ages can gain plenty. Parents can enjoy quality family time in the family area.

Among all the activities, the one that best represents the uniqueness of Club Med Lijiang Resort is, I would say, the indoor water park. It is the largest indoor heated water park among domestic resorts, covering 1,500 square meters. Guests and their families can splash around together freely, trying out the colorful water slides. These transparent slide tubes, some winding and some straight, start from the second floor of the water park and lead directly to a circular pool on the first floor. You can also leisurely drift along the lazy river, while children have fun playing in the children's area.

Club Med Lijiang Resort features various sports facilities for guests to choose from to stay fit.

Join the outdoor archery range. Surrounded by green scenery, focus and learn this sport precisely. Get familiar with the equipment, learn how to handle the bow, and shoot with single-minded concentration: aim at the target.

Relax amid the surrounding natural beauty and feel a sense of calm and serenity. Participate in this Indian practice, rediscover inner harmony and balance through physical exercises, and feel a state of unity of body, mind, and spirit.

Try indoor wall climbing and experience this exhilarating sport. Buckle up, grip the ropes, follow the path forward, and strive to reach new heights.

Step onto the flying trapeze platform and swing. Professional G.Os supervise the entire time and teach guests aerial acrobatic techniques. Fly through the air and experience the thrill of your first "takeoff." More experienced participants will return to improve their "wrapping" and "layout" skills.

Add something new to your holiday: a popular sport invented in Spain that combines elements of squash and pelota. Head to a tennis-like court surrounded by transparent walls. Learn the game rules from our sports G.O and start hitting the ball. An intense, fun, and passionate game begins!

The fitness suite is equipped with various weight and cardio training machines, and the cardio room is an ideal relaxation spot for running and muscle-building enthusiasts, helping you stay in shape during your vacation. Of course, there are also badminton, basketball, mini football, bocce, yoga, and other activities.

Club Med Lijiang Resort also offers various leisure activities for guests to unwind and relax.

Cooking Class & Karaoke

Guests can bring their children to sign up for cooking classes to explore local specialties, adding a special touch to the holiday; or gather a few good friends for a game of mahjong; or go to the indoor karaoke to showcase your singing; or enjoy a soothing massage in the spa area; or head to the Zen meditation pool in the wellness zone to fully relax.

When night falls, parties begin. Indoors or on some lawn area, listen to live band performances or watch circus shows, or watch a wonderful outdoor movie under a sky full of twinkling stars. Together with family and friends, join creative interactive workshops and play various games.

Club Med Lijiang Resort also customizes unique off-site excursions (at an extra cost) for guests—whether heading to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, just a 30-minute drive away, to enjoy the magnificent frontline snow scenery; roaming the cultural town of Baisha Ancient Town to experience intangible cultural heritage activities such as Naxi tie-dye, Dongba script, and painting; or encountering authentic western Yunnan cuisine. The fascinating Naxi charm will be fully displayed through these experiences.

Drawing on the profound local natural and cultural heritage, the resort area integrates four experience segments: residential living, holiday accommodation, art and culture, and natural leisure, incorporating diverse formats including the Club Med resort, a themed commercial and entertainment block, the Snow Mountain Secret Land theme park, vacation homes, Casa Cook Wild Luxury Boutique Resort, Albion Vacation Apartments, and more.

According to project planning, after the opening of Club Med Lijiang Resort, other elements within Foliday Town · Lijiang Mediterranean International Resort, such as the themed commercial street and Snow Mountain Secret Land, will gradually open starting in 2022. By then, Club Med Resort will synergize with various experiential activities in Foliday Town, deeply exploring the charm of Lijiang while also offering consumers a quality, diverse, and holiday-as-life FOLIDAY lifestyle experience.

We have always been seeking a holiday model that balances the freedom of the idyllic life with material pursuits. Now, in Lijiang, in Baisha, this international-style high-quality resort that collides tradition with trends and combines ethnic and global elements may well satisfy that balance. The all-inclusive, hassle-free approach without the need for planning can unleash every restless cell in your body, allowing you to have fun and indulge to the fullest.

So, when are you ready to start your Club Med Lijiang Resort journey? Why not take advantage of the Fosun Family Season and set off together with the "Fosun Express" Happiness Train, right now!
