Yellow River, I have come. That is the memory and promise I made to you years ago. The movie 'The Lovers on the Yellow River' has been deeply etched in my mind, and the piece 'Sunset Hilltop' has always lingered in my ears. I have never forgotten that melodious, poignant, song-like, dream-like violin sound. Those sorrowful, intoxicating, penetrating notes pierce my heart, move me to tears. The softest string in my heart is gently plucked. That long-lasting reluctance, that deep attachment, seems to have been hovering over the majestic waterfall, so soul-stirring. Close your eyes and feel it—feel the comfort and shock of music to the soul, and with tears, let the soul enter paradise. Approach the golden sunset, approach the lush green mountains, approach the surging Yellow River. At this moment, how I wish to be with the one I love, spreading my arms, intoxicated by the sunset, on the hillside, by the Yellow River. Yellow River, I will come again... October 31, 2013.
