2021 Holiday Schedule Released! May Day Holiday Extended to 5 Days!
On November 25, the General Office of the State Council issued the 'Notice of the General Office of the State Council on the Arrangement of Some Holidays in 2021', the full text of which is as follows:
To the people's governments of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government, and all ministries and commissions of the State Council and directly affiliated agencies:
With the approval of the State Council, the specific arrangements for the holidays and compensatory working days for New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day in 2021 are hereby notified as follows:
I. New Year's Day: Holiday from January 1 to 3, 3 days in total.
II. Spring Festival: Holiday and compensatory working days from February 11 to 17, 7 days in total. Work on February 7 (Sunday) and February 20 (Saturday).
III. Qingming Festival: Holiday and compensatory working days from April 3 to 5, 3 days in total.
IV. Labor Day: Holiday and compensatory working days from May 1 to 5, 5 days in total. Work on April 25 (Sunday) and May 8 (Saturday).
V. Dragon Boat Festival: Holiday from June 12 to 14, 3 days in total.
VI. Mid-Autumn Festival: Holiday and compensatory working days from September 19 to 21, 3 days in total. Work on September 18 (Saturday).
VII. National Day: Holiday and compensatory working days from October 1 to 7, 7 days in total. Work on September 26 (Sunday) and October 9 (Saturday).
During the holidays, all regions and departments shall properly arrange duty, security, and protection work. In case of major emergencies, timely reporting and proper handling according to regulations shall be ensured, so that the people can spend the holidays peacefully and safely.
