Yan'an Trip: A Must-Visit Treasure Travel Attraction

The red revolutionary base area—Yan'an has always been a place I longed to visit. This summer I came to Yan'an and discovered a newly emerging red-themed scenic spot—Yan'an Red Street. Yan'an Red Street is the first large-scale immersive cultural, commercial, and tourist district in China themed around red tourism, consisting of a red-themed block, a cave-dwelling-themed hotel cluster, and Yan'an's only inner-city lake—Yan Lake. "Return to Yan'an" is China's first indoor red-themed situational experience drama, and I highly recommend it. It is said that since its premiere in June, three shows per day are almost always full. The performance adopts a moving viewing style without fixed seats, creating a strong immersive atmosphere as the scenery changes with each step. It realistically simulates the natural scenes of wind and snow during the Long March, making viewers feel as if they have become the protagonists as they move with the storyline, truly experiencing the hardships and dangers of the Red Army's Long March.

?? Meeting Hall Experience

"Meeting Hall Experience" is built based on the historical event of the Central Red Army entering the city through "Anding Gate" in 1937, combined with the architectural features of Yan'an's ancient city towers. The Long March journey unfolds grandly on the first floor. Standing there, I was deeply moved by the spirit of the Long March. Every step taken by the revolutionary martyrs was incredibly difficult, yet they achieved great victory amidst the hardships. Creating today's prosperous era, thinking about it inevitably brings tears to the eyes and a surge of righteousness in the heart. On the second floor, there are audio headphones to listen to touching stories from the Long March, including those of known and unknown heroes. The third floor is a themed live-streaming room where visitors can livestream, check in, and take photos.

After walking through the Meeting Tower, the vast landscapes of the Chinese revolution stretch endlessly and surging in my mind.

?? Red Coin Art Museum

This museum displays currencies starting from the notes of the Chinese Soviet National Bank, the first set of RMB issued by the People's Bank of China upon its establishment in 1948, and most of the documents, commemorative coins, and badges of the five sets of RMB issued after the founding of New China. The museum regularly holds study courses on topics such as currency history and financial warfare. Those interested in finance can come and learn.

?? Science, Technology, and Culture Interactive Center

This center adopts new design concepts and technological innovations, tracing the formation timeline of Yan'an Spirit and reproducing its nurturing, formation, maturity, and development. It also includes a book bar, tea cafe, and so on, making it an excellent place for rest and socializing.

?? Heroes of the Covert Front Hall

This is the first and so far the only immersive experience hall in China designed around the covert front struggles during the revolutionary war era.

The hall features three training courses: disguise, secret writing and secret transmission, and telegraph transmission, as well as two interactive scene experiences. Fans of Republic-era spy dramas will surely feel familiar, as it brings everyone back to that war-torn, heroic revolutionary era. In the code room, you can act as an "underground party member" and experience a "latent" mission. Staff in the code room will guide you on how to send code information using a transmitter with a "beep-boop" sound.
