Building the Largest Ice and Snow Amusement World in Northern Shaanxi, Celebrate a Different Spring Festival at Yan'an Red Street
As the Year of the Tiger approaches, the citizens of Yan'an, who have just emerged from the shadow of the pandemic, will welcome a different Yan'an Red Street. On the 1.5-kilometer-long Yan'an Red Street, not only are there festive lanterns hanging everywhere, but also the largest ice and snow amusement world in northern Shaanxi has been built. Yan'an citizens and surrounding tourists are destined to spend a different Spring Festival at Yan'an Red Street.
To provide Yan'an citizens and tourists with an unprecedented ice and snow entertainment experience, Yan'an Red Street has fully utilized its advantageous terrain to carefully create the largest ice and snow amusement world in northern Shaanxi, covering a total area of over 1,500 square meters. Here, there is the Holy Land Ski Resort under the shining red star, as well as the Yan Lake Ski Resort overlooking the panoramic view of Yan Lake. In addition, there are the Victory Snow Park and the Meeting Ice Rink, making four ice and snow project areas. Combined with the different characteristics of each venue, Yan'an Red Street has set up more than 20 ice and snow activities such as snow tanks, ice bicycles, and snow ice cars for citizens and tourists to experience and share the passion of ice and snow sports. During the day, visitors can enjoy the joy brought by over 20 ice and snow projects at Yan'an Red Street. As night falls and colorful lights shine, more than 30 sets of various lanterns make people linger.
'It rarely snows in Yan'an in winter, so today I specially brought my child to Red Street to play in the snow,' said Ms. Wang, a citizen, who came to the Yan'an Red Street Holy Land Ski Resort with her daughter to ride the super snow tube. Ms. Wang said that since it is winter vacation, upon learning that the Yan'an Red Street Ice and Snow Lantern Festival had officially started, she quickly brought her child here. 'Due to the epidemic, we had been staying at home for a while. After Yan'an became a low-risk area, I brought my child out to breathe fresh air while also letting her enjoy the joy of ice and snow projects and see the beautiful lanterns.'
More than 30 sets of various lanterns distributed along the main street of Yan'an Red Street have also been installed. These authentic Sichuan Zigong lanterns are divided into three themes: red theme, Spring Festival theme, and folk custom theme. There are lanterns featuring revolutionary traditions such as 'Crossing Snowy Mountains and Grasslands,' as well as auspicious and festive lanterns like 'Dragon Soars over China' and 'Phoenix Dances in the Sky,' allowing people to enjoy the brilliant lights while experiencing Yan'an's red traditions and celebrating the New Year with lively festivities.
It is reported that the Yan'an Red Street Ice and Snow Lantern Festival will last from January 22 to February 20, a total of 36 days. During the Spring Festival, Yan'an Red Street will also launch special Spring Festival activities such as the Spring Festival Temple Fair, Calligraphy Masters Celebrating the New Year, Spring Festival Snow Music Festival, Giant Spring Festival Couplets Welcoming the New Year, and National-style Hanfu Lantern Parade, making 'Celebrate the New Year on Red Street, Have a Prosperous Year' the most authentic experience for every citizen and tourist.
