Wan'an Mountain Summit Park | Luoyang Moments Photography Contest Champion Point NO.8
In early summer, with flowers in full bloom, we headed to Wan'an Mountain Summit Park to enjoy a peaceful weekend leisure time~
The lush greenery everywhere is so healing; the colorful mountain flowers are so pleasing to the eyes.
When tired from walking, find a shady spot for a picnic—it couldn't be more comfortable...
Most importantly, the view is super clear and open, with a cool breeze, overlooking the entire Luoyang city. If you like the outdoors and love traveling like me, don't miss this park!
Location: Luoyang, Wan'an Mountain Summit Park
Opening hours: 9:00-18:30 (summer time)
ps: Dear friends, note that the ticket checkpoint stops selling tickets and admits visitors one hour before closing time.
Suggested visiting time: about 2-3 hours (depending on your schedule and whether you stay overnight; the night view is said to be amazing)
Transportation: self-driving
ps: We drove from downtown Luoyang, taking Longmen Avenue to Yiluo Road High-speed Railway Avenue, then Yibin Road - Xuanzang Road - Gepan Road, heading south all the way to Wan'an Mountain Summit Park. The villages and fields along the way—our mood, just look at the picture below, hehe haha...
Ticket: regular price ¥30/person, Ctrip price ¥20/person (for non-local residents of Luoyang)
ps: Before our trip, we called the scenic area customer service. They told us to bring our original Luoyang local ID card; present it at the ticket checkpoint for free admission as a ticket voucher. So happy! This really reflects the 'back garden of Luoyang citizens'!
Sightseeing bus ticket: ¥5/person
ps: According to the staff, the scenic area currently has limited bus routes. For 5 yuan one-way, they take you to the main entrance of the scenic area, which is also the busiest visitor center. Along the uphill road, it saves effort and is cost-effective; the sightseeing bus is very reliable!
Food and accommodation: We got off at the main entrance. The first thing we saw was a cluster of wooden buildings—said to be the busiest visitor hub. They sell cold drinks. Although the variety is limited, the prices are acceptable. Of course, if you are picky about food, it's recommended to bring your own snacks, because this area is really great for picnics!
For accommodation, there are special family six-bed rooms and very unique-looking 'thatched cottages'. When we got closer, wow~ 360-degree floor-to-ceiling viewing windows. A so-called wild luxury hotel? Unique and very eye-catching. Interested friends can contact the scenic area to ask about trial prices.
Entertainment: This time we came to enjoy the flowers, the scenery, and the sweet-scented breeze. The fragrance of flowers filled the air, and the distant cityscape could be seen around the corners along the way. Words cannot describe it, and photos cannot express it. For those who love hiking and getting close to nature, you are sure to have a beautiful encounter here! It feels like a pastoral mountain scene, beautiful indeed. You must come and take photos~
ps: Eh, my photography skills... please bear with me! Sharing the little rustic charms along the way with you.
Outfit tips: Wear whatever is comfortable. Be sure to wear a pair of comfortable sports hiking shoes. Protect yourself from the sun: besides applying sunscreen, it's recommended to bring a sun umbrella, hat, sunglasses, sun-protective clothing... fully equipped. Treat the summit park as a hiking and mountain park for sunbathing. Enjoy the view while walking and discovering surprises—then you'll feel it's all worth it!
