Luoyang Longmen Dongshan Thousand-Acre High Mountain Peony Garden is located on the east mountain of Longmen, a national 5A-level scenic area. It covers an area of over 1,800 mu, with a fine area of 400 mu. It is the largest high mountain peony garden in Henan Province. It faces the Lushena Buddha of Longmen Grottoes from afar and is adjacent to the five-star Longmen Dongshan Hotel.

Compared with other peonies, high mountain peonies have larger flowers, more varieties, and brighter colors. The Longmen Dongshan Peony Garden has planted more than 1 million peonies from the Central Plains peony group, Northwest peony group, and Japanese peony group, including over 200 old peonies with a tree age of over 100 years. There are eight color series: red, white, pink, yellow, purple, green, black, and mixed colors, with more than 100 varieties. Various types of "flower kings" are everywhere, ensuring that you will have a fulfilling and enjoyable visit.

The garden utilizes its unique mountain terrain, planting in terraced layers following the mountain's undulations, combined with green plants, forming a unique three-dimensional flower-viewing effect. You can experience a highly layered and three-dimensional terraced panoramic sea of peonies. During the blooming season, you can wander on the east mountain of Longmen, facing the Lushena Buddha from afar, feeling its solemn and mysterious smile; at the same time, you are surrounded by the vast, unobstructed sea of peonies, enjoying the charm of spring and nature; and the Yi River winds through, allowing you to experience the serene and open feeling of real mountains and real water without fences.

Finally, let me talk about transportation. The transportation around Longmen Dongshan Peony Garden is very convenient. It is 3 kilometers from the Erguang Expressway Longmen Exit. You can take Dongshan Avenue directly to the garden. The straight-line distance from the Longmen Grottoes scenic area is 800 meters. Inside the garden, the Dongshan Happy Path runs through, and the main scenic areas are all paved with plastic walkways, which are comfortable and quiet.
