Currently, it has developed sightseeing zones such as Jiuqu Bishui (Nine-Bend Clear Water), Qiangu Mountain, Xianren Valley (Immortal Valley), Wangyun Cliff (Cloud-Watching Cliff), Heilongtan (Black Dragon Pool), the First Peak of Central Plains, Red Birch Forest, Forest Oxygen Bar, and Hanlian Garden (Dry Lotus Garden), with a total of 218 scenic spots large and small, each with its own unique charm.
[Interpretation of specific scenic spots in the content:]
With a total length of 1,100 meters, the streams, pools, waterfalls, peculiar peaks, strange rocks, and towering ancient trees complement each other, forming a beautiful landscape of "small bridges over flowing water, winding paths leading to secluded spots."
It is a huge rock dozens of meters high. Steel stairs are built on the path to the top. Tourists climbing to the top can overlook the deep pools and clear waters below and gaze at Leigong Village (Thunder God Village) on the opposite mountain.
It is a 2.3-kilometer-long canyon, a rare river erosion landform in the Central Plains. Inside the canyon, cliffs rise a thousand meters, strange rocks are rugged, and springs and waterfalls flow, making it a natural secret realm for exploring antiquity.
It is a large-drop cliff landscape composed of granite. As its name suggests, after rain clears, it is surrounded by clouds and mist. Stepping into it feels like entering a fairyland.
It is a combined pool and waterfall landscape. The waterfall above rushes down, tens of meters high and more than ten meters wide. During the peak water period, the volume is enormous. Standing on the plank path opposite, you can feel the spray splashing up from the pool.
That is Jijiaojian (Rooster Horn Peak), the main peak of Funiu Mountain, with an altitude of 2,212.5 meters. It stands tall and piercing the clouds, combining the peril of Mount Hua and the beauty of Taihang, making it a bright scenic spot in Longyuwan.
The large area of red birch forest in Longyuwan is extremely rare in the Central Plains. Because it has strict growth requirements, only growing on mountain areas with good ecological environment at altitudes of 1,600-2,100 meters, it is very difficult to plant in large areas. If you go to Longyuwan, you must visit the red birch forest.
The forest oxygen bar sightseeing area in Longyuwan covers 560 mu (about 37.3 hectares). It has a wide variety of pure natural wild tree species, with intertwining roots and branches blocking the sky and sun. In the forest, there are wild animals such as sika deer, antelopes, and golden pheasants, full of wild interest.
The dry lotus and red birch in Longyuwan are both rare plants. Today, the dry lotus is nearly extinct in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River. Its flowers are fragrant and not only have high ornamental value but are also a precious Chinese medicinal herb, which can treat headaches, high blood pressure, and other ailments.
Self-driving tourists can enter from the west gate of the scenic area and then drive east along the road inside the scenic area, enjoying a self-driving experience through the national nature reserve.
Note that because the scenic area is still under epidemic prevention and control, only 5,000 people are allowed to enter on that day. Once full, the scenic area will stop receiving visitors. So if you want to go, call the scenic area in advance to inquire.
