On October 3, 2014, I drove to the new scenic area built to AAAAA standard—Daimei Mountain.

Daimei Mountain is located in Shijing Township, Xin'an County, Henan Province, on the south bank of the Xiaolangdi Reservoir of the Yellow River. It is part of the Wangwu Mountain–Daimei Mountain National Geopark, featuring attractions such as the Alpine Garden, Cloud-Top Prairie, and Grand View of the Yellow River. The awe-inspiring peaks and strange rocks, formed by nature's uncanny workmanship, are the most spectacular scenery, and a 270-degree panoramic view of the Yellow River is its unique beauty.

Just hearing the name 'Daimei', you can imagine it contains a beautiful story and reflects a beautiful figure.

Legend has it that the young Shang Tang was a prodigal son, fond of pleasure and women, neglecting his duties. His wife, Lady Daimei, admonished him repeatedly, but he remained unrepentant. In anger, she left home and retreated into the mountains. Shang Tang, feeling lonely and guilty, went into the mountains to plead with her to return together. Although Lady Daimei deeply loved her husband, when they met, they only spoke of their feelings, not about going home. Shang Tang thus reformed, worked hard, knelt to bid farewell to his wife, and went on to achieve great imperial deeds. This magnificent picture is an epic love story of eternal fidelity that endures until the seas dry and rocks crumble.

Taking the sightseeing car up the mountain, the first stop is the Alpine Garden. Colorful flowers and hummingbird-like insects immediately captivate the tourists' eyes.

Lucky Gorge is the best spot to appreciate the National Geopark. This attraction winds around the peak, forming a complete circle. The legendary love story of King Tang and Lady Daimei took place here. Of course, besides the story, there are divine rocks, wonders, and exclamations!

After touring Lucky Gorge and climbing through the Prairie Divine Gate—which only allows one person to pass sideways—you reach the suddenly open Cloud-Top Prairie. At an altitude of over 1,300 meters, dense vegetation covers the summit. Naturally, there are also tempting wild fruits and mountain trees.

The last stop is the main peak of Daimei Mountain. It is said that from this viewing platform, you can enjoy a 270-degree view of the Yellow River and the magnificent, winding Xiaolangdi Reservoir. Unfortunately, on this side of the peak, the fog was heavy. Despite straining my eyes, I could not see the Yellow River scenery lying deep below. I hope that next time the weather will be cooperative, allowing me to see another kind of breathtaking landscape.

Although I did not see the grand momentum of the Yellow River and Xiaolangdi Reservoir, on the other side of the peak, I still saw the majestic mountains and tender emotions.
