【Henan】Luoyang Self-driving Tour (2): White Horse Temple, Museum, Tianzi Jiali Museum
【Preface】Located in Luoyang City, Henan Province, within Baimasi Town, Luolong District. It is China's first ancient temple and a national 4A-level scenic spot. Founded in the 11th year of Yongping of the Eastern Han Dynasty (68 AD), it has a history of over 1,900 years. The existing ruins and relics date from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. It is the first official monastery built after Buddhism was introduced to China. It is also the only international monastery in the world with Buddhist halls in the styles of China, India, Myanmar, and Thailand. It consists of the White Horse Temple main compound, Qiyun Pagoda compound, Thai Buddhist Hall compound, Indian Buddhist Hall compound, and Myanmar Pagoda compound. In the main compound, from front to back, are the Mountain Gate, Heavenly King Hall, Great Buddha Hall, Mahavira Hall, Receiving Hall, Cool Terrace, and Pilu Pavilion. Magnificent and splendid.

【Luoyang Museum】:
Located in Luolong District, Luoyang City, Henan Province, bordered by Luopu Park to the north and Luoyang Botanical Garden to the south. It is a cultural landmark of Luoyang. Covering 300 mu (about 20 hectares), its design concept is 'Standing Tall Like a Tripod,' and the building's exterior is shaped like a large tripod. It houses over 400,000 artifacts, with 11,000 on display, including the Heluo Civilization Hall, Treasure Hall, Han-Tang Pottery Figurine Hall, Tang Sancai Hall, Stone Carving Hall, Bronze Ware Hall, Jade Ware Hall, etc. It is now a national first-class museum and a Henan Province patriotic education base. You can take buses 37, 49, or 68 within the city. Alternatively, take bus No. 77 and get off at 'Luoyang Museum' stop. (Admission by ID card).

【Luoyang Zhou Royal City Tianzi Jiali Museum】:
Located in Dongzhou Royal City Square, Xigong District, Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is a themed museum that focuses on a large chariot and horse pit from the Eastern Zhou period, supplemented by an overview of the Eastern Zhou Royal City. The main attraction is the 'Tianzi Jiali' large chariot and horse burial pit. The pit is large in scale, with many types of chariots, imposing and exquisite. The scene of 'one chariot with six horses' directly and clearly confirms the ancient record of 'Tianzi Jiali' (the emperor's six-horse chariot). It is a unique 'Jiali' relic in the world.
