Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, our third anniversary with my boyfriend arrived. Before, every anniversary we would give each other gifts. This time it's a bit different—we plan to take some money from our little savings and celebrate our anniversary in Macao. Just thinking about it gets us excited! We planned a three-day, two-night trip, so we needed to pick a good hotel in Macao. There are so many hotels in Macao; even just under Sands, there are The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, Conrad Macao, Sheraton Grand Macao, St. Regis Macao, and more. All these hotels are great, especially The Venetian Macao, which is a famous luxury hotel in Macao. To broaden our horizons, we decided to stay at The Venetian and see just how luxurious it is!

My boyfriend and I are both restless types. After arriving in Macao, we left our luggage at The Venetian and went out to explore. Walking around The Venetian Macao, we noticed the building is really tall and distinctive. Unlike modern skyscraper hotels, The Venetian Macao lets you appreciate the beauty of European architecture. Both my boyfriend and I felt we made the right choice coming to Macao—without leaving the country, we could see scenery that rivals Venice, Italy! Absolutely amazing!

There are several other hotels around The Venetian, but we didn't visit them all. Time was limited, so we had to check in first. As long as you book a room online in advance, check-in is very simple—just verify your identity! Oh, and Sands Macao also has hotel accommodation promotions: book two days in advance for a 20% discount, two consecutive nights for 25% off, and three nights for a whopping 34% off!

The golden ball in the hotel lobby was truly eye-opening, with lifelike figures on it. The interior of the hotel is like a palace—taking photos there made me feel more photogenic!

The luxurious royal suite combines modern and vintage elements—fantastic environment! Besides a king-sized bed, there's a sunken living room and a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas. The layout is clear!

I had long heard about the stunning Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian, but seeing it in person was still unbelievable. The shops, streetlamps, and sky all create an illusion of a dream world, especially when you see gondolas gently drifting on the canal—it's truly soothing.

Breaking news! The Grand Canal Shoppes currently have a promotion for free gondola tickets: if you spend MOP 250 or more in the shopping mall, you can redeem a ticket at the Gondola Gift & Ticket Counter at Shop 891, Level 3, Grand Canal Shoppes. The offer ends June 30. If you want to experience an Italian boat ride, hurry!

My boyfriend and I have been together long enough that he's also become a shopping enthusiast—his stamina is even stronger than mine!

The Grand Canal Shoppes have many familiar sportswear and streetwear brands, as well as foreign fashion brands—very international! The first store we visited was FILA, an Italian sports brand. The store is small but has a good selection of clothes, shoes, and bags. Don't you think their logo is well-designed?

Puma is a sportswear brand my boyfriend particularly likes. Their store is on Level 3 of the Grand Canal Shoppes, surrounded by many other sports stores. The color combinations of Puma's sneakers are fun and youthful. Unexpectedly, we were lucky to catch their promotion: buy any two regular-priced Puma shoes or apparel and get 50% off (excluding specified items). In the end, my boyfriend got a pair of sneakers, while I picked a pair of sandals.

My boyfriend and I also share a love for shoe shopping—even if we don't buy, we have to go in, especially when we came across Skechers on sale! Buy one, get one free on all items, valid until June 30. Oh my god, getting two pairs for the price of one is so tempting! They have many black-and-white shoes that are versatile and suitable for both men and women.

Besides the Grand Canal Shoppes, we also visited DFS on Level 1 of the Four Seasons Shops. This duty-free store has every big brand you can think of, and only niche or foreign brands you might not recognize. Sands Shopping City is really huge—it's impossible to finish in one day. To avoid getting lost, it's best to download the Sands Indoor Navigation App to find stores more easily!

Summer is here, so hydration and sun protection are essential. Since we rarely come to Macao, it would be a waste of airfare not to stock up, don't you think?

They also have sunglasses—trying them on instantly made me feel more powerful! Sunglasses are a great fashion item for summer. Now, buy one for 30% off, or two for 50% off—a good deal!

From The Venetian's skywalk, you can directly enter The Shoppes at The Parisian—very convenient! The decoration style at The Shoppes at The Parisian is French-inspired, with crystal chandeliers and murals on the walls—very romantic!

There are many stores at The Shoppes at The Parisian; I won't list them all here. But to satisfy your curiosity, I'll recommend a few I found interesting. First up is the ticket booth for the Eiffel Tower, which sells many Eiffel Tower souvenirs—great gifts for friends and family!

There are many duty-free stores in Sands Shopping City. Ya Ting has two stores at The Shoppes at The Parisian—one on Level 3 and one on Level 5. We visited the one on Level 3. They have a limited-time promotion: buy two selected regular-priced beauty products from the same brand and get one free, and buy three selected best-selling lip products and get two free. In short, freebies everywhere!

At I.T, we felt the staff were very welcoming. As soon as we entered, they took our shopping bags and stored them for us, so we could browse easily! Selected items are up to 50% off, valid until June 30, 2020. They specialize in exclusive collaborations with top brands—with 50% off, it's a steal!

You don't need to worry about food at Sands Macao—there are many Chinese and Western restaurants, as well as buffets. The restaurant we went to is called Northern Tapas. Just by the name, you know it's a Chinese restaurant! We chose it for two reasons: first, I'm a picky eater and not used to Western food; second, they have promotions. Besides shopping deals, Sands Macao also has restaurant promotions!

Candied banana fritters—a must-order dish during college club dinners! Suddenly, memories flooded back!

Although the restaurant is called Northern Tapas, it's not just northern cuisine—they also have xiaolongbao from the south! When eating, wait for them to cool down first, or you'll burn your mouth!

This was my first time trying drunken chicken. The chicken was tender, and the pickled peppers had just the right level of spiciness.

Shaanxi oil-splashed noodles—very fragrant and spicy. If you like spicy food, you must order this!

Finally, two hearty dishes: stir-fried lamb burger and garlic sliced pork belly. The burger bun had sesame seeds on top and was extra crispy; the lamb was naturally delicious—mouthwatering! The sliced pork belly had a bit of fat but wasn't greasy, with a light texture and non-spicy sauce.

After eating and drinking our fill, we took a stroll around The Venetian. The Venetian at night was completely different from daytime—just look at the picture!

Of course, the night view wouldn't be complete without the Eiffel Tower. The colorful tower pierces the clouds—definitely the most eye-catching landmark at night!

It was so romantic—looking at the tower while holding my boyfriend's hand, happiness almost burst from my heart! Single friends, you need to step it up and find someone to watch the Eiffel Tower with you!

We originally thought the Macao trip itself was our anniversary gift to each other. Unexpectedly, on the night we were leaving, my boyfriend specially bought a pair of couple rings. It turns out he went out to buy them while I was sleeping in! Okay, that's enough lovey-dovey stuff—if I go on, you might beat me up, haha! For all the ladies who envy me, you can get your boyfriend to arrange a trip too. It's really worth it to go to Macao now—there are discounts on food, drinks, and fun, so you can save a lot!
