In-depth Tour of The Parisian Macao: Have Fun Without Leaving the Hotel
It's rare to have carefree moments in life, especially after marriage and having children, when time for myself and my girlfriends is scarce. This time, leaving my husband and kid behind, my bestie and I went to Macau to relax! Those who have been to Macau probably know there are many luxury hotels, and just under Sands China, there are The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, Conrad Macao, Sheraton Grand Macao, St. Regis Macao, etc. Longing for the Macau Eiffel Tower, we chose The Parisian Macao.
Ahhh! Though I'm no longer a teenage girl, seeing the Eiffel Tower and the Parisian building made my heart flutter! My bestie said it's because I haven't gone out for so long, spending all my time on family, so I'm this excited! Looks like I need to 'abandon' my family and sneak out more often!
The architecture of The Parisian perfectly replicates the essence of European buildings—windows, roof designs, carvings, and murals all make you feel like you're standing on a French street. The hotel is huge; it takes quite a while to walk around it!
The hotel has excellent entertainment and leisure facilities: gym, pool, Qube, spa, etc. My bestie and I checked out the pool, which is huge, and many parents were there with kids! The view is great too—you can see the Eiffel Tower and surrounding hotels.
In terms of aesthetics, the lobby of The Parisian is top-notch. The circular dome is impossibly high, and the Neptune fountain is right before you. Look closely at the goddess statues—they give you goosebumps, their expressions are so lifelike!
The dome murals remind me of European mythology. I'm a bit nearsighted and regretted not wearing glasses—I couldn't see them clearly. But there's a beauty in blurriness. Fellow shortsighted friends, you know what I mean!
The crystal chandeliers are stunning too. All along the way, I kept wondering how much money this hotel spent to build such a masterpiece!
When we arrived, there weren't many people checking in. The staff at the front desk were very responsible, verifying our IDs and suite information. Oh, here's a money-saving tip! If you're planning a trip to Macau soon, you can book a Sands China hotel online at least two days in advance. Stay two consecutive nights and get 30% off—it saves a lot of money! So awesome!
At The Parisian, go all out for romance! We booked its famous Champagne Suite. The Instagram-style room decor awakened my inner girlish heart. The two beds are side by side with understated, clean bedding that feels great. Pull open the floor-to-ceiling curtains and enjoy a lovely view—nice!
The living room and bedroom are semi-open, making good use of space. There's a desk, sofa, tea table—all the furniture is beautiful!
Step out of the living room into the dressing room. The mirror at the vanity has built-in lighting—perfect for anyone who loves makeup!
The bathroom is made of marble, exuding luxury!
When it comes to shopping, we have to mention The Parisian Shoppes! The mall is inside the hotel, very convenient. If there's a downside, it's that the mall is so big it's hard to find stores—especially for direction-challenged people like my bestie and me. Navigating the mall is like being in a maze! I recommend downloading the Sands Indoor Navigation app; with it, you can explore all the shopping malls under Sands China!
Visit the Place Vendome in the shopping center—you won't forget it after one look. Seeing such a stunning scene, I immediately video-called my husband to share my joy. My son even went 'wow' at the magical canopy.
On the elevator ride down, I spotted the Antonia boutique, which has many international brands—a great place to find bargains!
MSGM is at Shop 355-356 on the 3rd floor of The Parisian Shoppes. They're having a sale—up to 50% off selected items. The staff told us the promotion ends on July 31, 2020. Looks like I can bring my husband and kid back to Macau in July!
Now I understand the feeling of people stocking up at Macau duty-free shops—it's pure joy! Ya Ting, a huge duty-free store, has a wide variety of products. As for prices, just look at their promotions—it's almost like giving things away! Buy two selected full-priced beauty products from the same brand and get one free; buy three selected lip products and get two free.
The store is spacious with many counters and clear product sections. You can find beauty, skincare, perfume, glasses, and more. I'm into skincare—after all, time is a fat butcher! Ladies, we need to turn that butcher knife into a craft knife! A woman should invest in herself; daily skincare is just the basics!
My bestie and I each grabbed a basket and shopped!
We stumbled into Mendoza. I didn't know what to expect, but once inside, I fell for their Sky Case. So cool! If my husband were here, he would definitely buy one! Hehe, I won't buy it for him—I'll let him pay when we come next time!
After wandering for a while, we got more excited and saw a familiar Adidas store.
Wanting to bring a gift for my husband, I purposely checked out London Boy. Many long-sleeved shirts were on sale—perfect for fall. Their menswear is stylish and a bit wild, haha!
I.T is one of my favorite Hong Kong brands. Selected items had up to 50% off. Trying on shoes and clothes was non-stop.
The Comme des Garçons collection was quite complete, and I snagged the collaboration canvas shoes I've been craving. So worth it!
I got a black T-shirt for my husband.
Sands China operates four shopping malls: The Parisian Shoppes, The Grand Canal Shoppes, Four Seasons Shops, and Sands Plaza. You could shop for three days! The Grand Canal Shoppes is inside The Venetian, with a great environment and many brand stores. The whole mall is modeled after Venice. When I saw people riding gondolas on the canal, I immediately bought a ticket!
When buying bags, go to Charles & Keith. I find their prices reasonable and styles varied. Whether you buy or not, the staff are very welcoming—you truly feel the 'customer first' service.
At Shop 2822 on the 2nd floor of Four Seasons Shops, I found a divine women's clothing store: Tory Burch. Selected apparel, shoes, bags, and accessories were up to 50% off.
The clothing style is unique, with some elegant ethnic patterns. Some pieces seemed perfect for my mom. My bestie and I picked for a while, finally buying one for my mom and one for my mother-in-law. Check out the photos!
Lisa's Portuguese Egg Tart is a must-eat at The Parisian lobby. There's no store, just a cart, but it doesn't affect its popularity. Freshly baked egg tarts are irresistible—mouthwatering just looking at them.
A romantic French restaurant—La Chine—beckons. The bar has many fine wines; I was already thinking about what to drink before sitting down, lol.
This restaurant is on the 6th floor of the Eiffel Tower. The atmosphere is unique because it features parts of the tower's structure.
Food is served! A huge seafood platter with ingredients flown in fresh. The oysters are visibly plump and tempting!
Goldfish shrimp dumplings, crab tartare, and lobster pasta. Color, aroma, and taste all perfect—I feel like I haven't had such delicious food in a long time!
Dessert was white chocolate peach. The peach was so shiny, it hurt a little to break it!
My time with my bestie in Macau was truly happy, like being back in college days, eating and hanging out together. I wonder if all moms feel this way—unsettled when kids aren't around. During the trip, I kept in touch with my husband, reminding him to take care of our kid. When I saw something fun or tasty, my first thought was to share with family. Maybe that's a kind of happiness too! Next time, I've already planned a family trip to Macau. Little cuties, want to run into me?
