'Carmo Garden' is part of the 'Portuguese-style Houses at Taipa' scenic area, one of the eight scenic spots of Macau! Completed in 1955, the historical value of the area has been recognized by the Macau government.
The main highlights of the garden are the statue of Luís de Camões, a small fountain, and the surrounding pergola. At the highest point of the garden stands a statue of the famous Portuguese poet Luís de Camões—definitely worth seeing!

'Long Huan' is the old name for Taipa, and 'Pu Yun' refers to the Portuguese architectural style here. 'Portuguese-style Houses at Taipa' were originally the residences of senior officials on Macau's outlying islands and some homes of Macanese families. In 1992, the Portuguese Macau government restored and converted the buildings into a residential museum.
The museum includes the Portuguese House of Life, Art Exhibition Gallery, House of Scenery, Guest House, and the House of Innovation. Among them, the House of Innovation features a 'Taipa and Portuguese Cultural Product Area' showcasing and selling local cultural products related to Taipa and Portuguese characteristics.
