Summer vacation arrived, and my girlfriend suggested a trip to Macau. Initially reluctant, after browsing many guides, I gradually started to look forward to it. Macau has many fun places to visit, delicious food, and great shopping, but the most worthwhile experience is the hotel culture—such as the Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, Conrad Macao Cotai Central, Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, St. Regis Macao, among others. These are all excellent quality hotels with distinct styles, offering one-stop services for eating, drinking, entertainment, shopping, and lodging—super convenient. Starting from Zhuhai, the clouds in the sky were fluffy; I snapped a few photos—quite picturesque, don't you think? The journey was shorter than expected; I dozed off and before I knew it, we were in Macau. This was the first time my girlfriend and I visited Macau. The moment I saw the Venetian Macao building, I was awed by its grandeur. Truly a luxurious old-school hotel with a massive presence! Compared to my excitable girlfriend, I pretended to be very calm. My girlfriend only knew how to take photos; if I hadn't reminded her, we probably wouldn't have checked in until dark. There were quite many tourists checking into the Venetian Macao. The lobby design was magnificent, resplendent and golden, like a palace. The room was booked by my girlfriend, named the Luxury Royal Suite. As soon as I entered, I could feel the hotel's thoughtful design. I took some detail shots of the room for everyone to see—details determine success. After seeing these pictures, do you think this suite is worth it? As a rough guy, I was more than satisfied. The room was spacious, clean, fully equipped, and the hotel even provided some complimentary daily necessities. I originally wanted to rest well in the hotel room, but my girlfriend insisted on dragging me to the Grand Canal Shoppes on the third floor, a so-called shopping paradise. At that moment, my inner monologue was begging for mercy and resignation! But once there, I found it truly amazing. Andrew's Portuguese egg tarts—their fragrance could be smelled from afar. I couldn't resist buying a box; there were six freshly baked ones in a box. Be careful, they're hot when eating. The tarts had a perfect flavor, crispy outside and tender inside, and crumbled when bitten—extremely satisfying. I barely finished one and reached for another, only to find my girlfriend had already devoured four. Sigh, with a girlfriend who has a big appetite, you have to compete for egg tarts. The Grand Canal Shoppes actually had a Manchester United flagship store. Unfortunately, I'm a Barcelona fan, so I passed it and headed to the British M&S supermarket. This store is at Shop 830, Level 3, The Venetian Macao. My foodie girlfriend headed straight to the snack section—so adorable. Luckily, I brought enough cash this time, otherwise I'd be scared she might leave me in Macau to work off the debt. Skechers, here I come! This was the first store I walked into eagerly on my own, without my girlfriend dragging me. Before coming to Macau, my girlfriend told me that major malls were having sales and promotions. I didn't believe it at first. Seeing the "Buy One Get One Free" sign at the Skechers entrance, I finally truly experienced the surprise of this Macau trip. After picking out my own items, I had to help my girlfriend choose. After all, she has decision paralysis—hard to handle! Sands China has four shopping city states: The Grand Canal Shoppes,四季名店 (Four Seasons Shoppes), The Parisian Shoppes, and Sands Plaza. These four malls are interconnected, making shopping very convenient. However, if you're also visiting Macau for the first time like us, I highly recommend downloading the Sands Indoor Navigation app. After all, the Sands Shopping City State is huge, with over 800 brand stores, making it easy to get lost. With this navigation app, you can precisely locate stores and save a lot of time shopping. Following the navigation, we successfully checked in at DFS. I didn't recognize many brands there, but my girlfriend was going "wow, wow" the whole time. I could hardly imagine that she, who rarely wears makeup, suddenly became hyperactive, charging around with a shopping basket—quite adorable. For a guy who usually only uses cheap skincare, facing the skincare products at DFS made me both curious and tempted. I couldn't help considering whether to live more refinedly. My girlfriend even educated me on skincare knowledge. Apparently, skincare is not gender-specific; as long as you have a skin issue, you can choose products with corresponding effects. Since my skin is extremely dry, my girlfriend picked out a L'Oréal set for me—hopefully she won't end up using it all herself. After a quick tour of The Venetian Macao, we started Part Two—The Parisian Macao. It's right next to The Venetian, a hotel full of French romance. The Eiffel Tower is its iconic structure—truly majestic and grand. Entering the hotel lobby, we took a photo with the Fountain of Neptune. My girlfriend called me a lifeless zombie because my limbs were stiff and my expression poorly managed. I wanted to hit her, but I didn't dare... Here's our photo—isn't my girlfriend's height nice? I probably fell for her long legs in the first place. Taking the escalator from the hotel lobby directly to The Parisian Shoppes, the shopping environment was amazing. I found that the longer I shopped, the more energetic I became. My girlfriend thought it was strange and asked if I had gone crazy from shopping—haha! My girlfriend secretly took a photo of me earnestly navigating with my phone to find stores! I finally found Blancpain, a Swiss watch brand with over 280 years of history. The craftsmanship of each watch was breathtaking. Just looking at the products in the window was overwhelming. Brothers, I'm going in first! The store's decoration was elegant, and the staff were very gentle. I noticed they handled the watches carefully, afraid of scratching them—after all, they're not cheap. The design of the watch dial was really cool. I held one and looked at it for a long time, unable to put it down. My girlfriend teased me, saying I looked at the watch more affectionately than I looked at her! This ladies' lingerie store is called Oysho. It also sells sleepwear. My girlfriend enjoyed browsing inside, but I felt a bit awkward... Fortunately, the staff was thoughtful and found a seat for me to sit—definitely a thumbs up! Since we were in Macau, I'd rather exhaust myself than miss any attraction. Besides The Venetian and The Parisian, the Sands Resorts Macao also has other highly scenic hotels, like the Conrad Macao. The Conrad Macao lobby features a peacock-shaped art installation made of fresh flowers—very beautiful. The red doors in the reception room have a strong Chinese character! Sands Plaza is within the hotel, with many famous stores and all kinds of dining and entertainment. Seeing Zara, my girlfriend said she wanted to go in and buy a dress. I also looked for suitable T-shirts. Zara is a popular brand with good value. The store also sold hair ties, earrings, and other small items. Sands Plaza is really huge—it has Coach, Ochirly, Gucci, Duty Free, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein... I won't introduce each one. In short, anyone with a strong shopping desire will be fully satisfied here. Sands Plaza has a huge Adventure Kingdom with various themed parties. Interested friends can check it out. It's worth mentioning that Macau medical staff can enter for free. I suddenly felt envious! From Sands Plaza, you can walk directly to the Starlight Bridge. The end of the bridge leads to The Grand Canal Shoppes. After a full round of shopping, we returned to the hotel—how convenient! The Starlight Bridge has an outdoor viewing area. The scenery was nice, with a panoramic view of the surrounding hotels. Although the trip was tiring, it left many beautiful memories. My girlfriend made a photo album of all the pictures from the Macau trip. Initially, I thought it was unnecessary, but after seeing the finished product, I wanted to flip through it every day. I saw news that starting July 15, Macau has fully resumed customs clearance. If you're planning a trip with your partner, you might consider Sands—without leaving the hotel, your girlfriend can have a great time. This is truly a blessing for homebodies! Travel Directory: 1.
