About this trip:

For many people, visiting Macau is a very good travel destination choice.

In the past, traveling abroad was inconvenient, but this city adjacent to Zhuhai has exotic architecture and is very easy to reach.

This city has history, fashion, and nostalgia, suitable for travelers of all ages. It is also an excellent destination for parents with children, so I have always enjoyed bringing Xiaorou Bao to Macau.

Since the start of the pandemic, many people have been eagerly anticipating the reopening of Macau tourism. Currently, mainland travelers who meet Macau's epidemic prevention requirements and present a negative nucleic acid test result valid within 7 days can travel to and from Macau without quarantine.

So I also took my travel permit that had been unused for nearly a year and came to this city again to see its prosperity.

Day 1: Guangzhou – Macau – The Parisian Macao

Day 2: “teamLab SuperNature” Art Exhibition – Galaxy Macau

Day 3: Macau Science Center – Fisherman’s Wharf

1. You need a nucleic acid test result obtained within the past week. Remember to prepare it in advance.

2. All entry points to Macau have resumed normal operations. Whether by air, or through the Gongbei or Hengqin ports, it is very convenient.

3. The currencies in Macau are the Hong Kong Dollar and the Macanese Pataca, but most merchants accept mobile payments.

4. The weather in Macau is warm. Just bring summer clothes, at most a light jacket.

D1: Guangzhou – Macau – The Parisian Macao

Luxury hotels of different brands in Macau always have very distinctive designs. Coming here and enjoying the hotel’s ambiance is a great experience.

The Parisian Macao has always been a very famous hotel.

The Parisian Macao uses the Eiffel Tower as its landmark. The tower here is half the height of the real Eiffel Tower in Paris and is made in complete imitation of it, giving a wonderful sense of being in Macau but instantly transported to Paris.

The hotel is also designed in a French style. Inside the hotel, from the sculptures and murals on the walls to the chandeliers, everything is filled with Parisian artistic flavor.

Of course, you can also climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower here. Walking into the corridor of the tower, you see various old photos along the way, as if boarding a time machine back to the era of the strongest literary and artistic trends along the Seine.

The top of the tower is on the 27th floor. Overlooking the bustling Taipa from this height is very interesting.

The room is designed as a one-bedroom suite, spacious enough. Resting in the room gives you ample space to enjoy your own wonderful time.

Most rooms have a direct view of the tower, allowing you to admire it anytime, which is quite interesting.

Besides the Eiffel Tower, The Parisian Macao has many fun facilities. Its water park is suitable for both adults and children.

The indoor children’s playground is also quite large. You can spend a whole day there with your kids. They also thoughtfully provide PS4 game consoles, so parents waiting for their kids won’t feel bored!

Day 2: “teamLab SuperNature” Art Exhibition

The “teamLab SuperNature” Art Exhibition

The Venetian Macao, located next to The Parisian Macao, is also a must-visit spot in Macau. It places the Grand Canal of Venice inside the hotel, allowing guests to experience the charm of the Venetian water city, making it an iconic hotel in Macau.

This time I came to The Venetian Macao mainly to see the “teamLab SuperNature” art exhibition.

Light and shadow always create an infinitely wonderful world of art. The art of light and shadow is also the art of photography.

In fact, light can also create wonderful spaces and worlds.

The “teamLab SuperNature” in Macau is an art exhibition composed of sound, light, and shadow. This is teamLab’s fourth exhibition in a global city collaboration, with an exhibition hall covering 5,000 square meters.

Here, there are different exhibition areas, each with a different theme. From flowers to oceans, to animals and the universe, each theme is presented through light and shadow art, very unique.

Entering the main door, there is an exhibition area themed on flowers of the four seasons. You can see peach blossoms in full bloom, falling petals, sunflowers blooming, and even different flowers with different scents—very magical.

Each exhibition area has a different theme. Whether the diamond space or the ink space, light and shadow construct a wonderful world, very impressive.

Galaxy Macau

Galaxy Macau is also an ultra-luxury hotel located in Taipa. The most famous part here is the Diamond Lobby.

For many women, brilliant diamonds represent eternity, and the dazzling brilliance and beautiful shapes of diamonds are captivating.

The lobby of Galaxy Macau uses diamonds as the decorative theme. From the fountain to the ceiling, a large number of diamond elements are used. Various lights reflect charming colors on the diamond facets, creating a luxurious and dreamy atmosphere.

Moreover, a diamond show is performed at regular intervals. The fountain, ceiling, and other elements move with the music, creating wonderful shapes—very fun.

Day 3: Fisherman’s Wharf – Macau Science Center

On the last day in Macau, I chose Fisherman’s Wharf as the first stop.

Fisherman’s Wharf is a European-style theme park in Macau, located by the seaside. It was completed in 2005 and covers an area of over 1 million square meters.

Fisherman’s Wharf is designed and built entirely in European style. Entering it, you can see typical ancient Roman architecture. From the stone columns to the beams, everything is classic Roman. The grand columns and yellow walls give a sense of antiquity.

There is also a Roman amphitheater here, also designed in the semi-circular style of ancient Rome. Watching a performance here would surely give you a feeling of being back in old Europe.

In fact, Fisherman’s Wharf is also a bustling commercial center. You can see various shops and fine restaurants here. Strolling around, looking at the Roman-style square, and buying some favorite items has a unique charm.

When visiting Macau, the Macau Science Center is also a great place to take children.

From Fisherman’s Wharf to the Macau Science Center is very close, just a short taxi ride.

The Macau Science Center has a very modern exterior. Even the trees in front are trimmed into special heart shapes—very interesting.

The guidance at the Macau Science Center uses smart robots that can converse in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, allowing visitors to quickly learn about the layout and content of the science center—very convenient.

The interior decoration of the science center is also quite special, using a spiral design. Going up along the sloping path, you find different exhibition halls.

From the space hall to the mechanics hall, different natural science disciplines have their own halls. Going up the slope, you can enter different halls.

Science is presented in various fun and adorable ways: interesting little experiments, various non-motorized facilities, and electronic games.

The walls are covered with images of dinosaurs from different eras. Going up, the timeline gets closer to the present—very fun.

The city of Macau, whether for its cuisine or scenery, is the reason I repeatedly come back.

Tips for entering and leaving Macau:

Mainland travelers who meet Macau’s epidemic prevention requirements and present a negative nucleic acid test result valid within 7 days can travel to and from Macau without quarantine.
