A Short Holiday Trip to Guangdong and Macau (1)
Taking advantage of the May Day short holiday, I decided to take a trip to Macau. I packed my luggage and went to the airport. Before departure, I took a nucleic acid test, and then at the airport I registered for the Macau Health Code and the customs clearance code, smoothly passed through customs, and boarded the flight to Macau.
Today there was only this one direct flight to Macau, and the entire international terminal was only operating flights to Macau, so the departure hall felt very quiet and empty.
The quiet international terminal
Even the usually bustling duty-free shops were deserted.
I grabbed a Starbucks coffee in the departure hall.
I was amazed—within two weeks, I had gone from Tibet at an altitude of over 4,500 meters straight down to sea level. My heart sure is tough.
After getting off the plane, I learned from the staff that we could quickly reach our booked hotel by light rail.
Macau light rail single-trip ticket
It felt like the light rail was our private car.
Macau at night was very clean, with charming lights.
We arrived at the hotel, checked in, dropped off our luggage, and then went to Rua da Cunha in the old town of Taipa.
Rua da Cunha is the old district of Taipa in Macau. The streets are narrow, preserving Portuguese-style architecture. It is also a bustling commercial area with many local specialties and snack shops.
What impressed me most were the huge trees lining the streets, so thick that four people could encircle them—a sight that seemed to witness a century.
The restaurants on Beco do Bugio are all Michelin-starred, with walls covered in awards from each year's Michelin评比.
The colorful hues tell the vibrant everyday life沉淀下来的 over history.
Night is deep; time to rest. Let's continue tomorrow.
