Check-in to Quality Hotels in Macao: A Full Itinerary Full of Fun
As an old friend of Macao, I revisited the city again this May Day holiday. Why choose Macao for the short break? Of course, because this city is worth it—cultures from all over the world blend here, making the entire trip much richer. Additionally, Macao has many luxury hotels. Just from what I know, there are The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, Conrad Macao, Sheraton Grand Macao, and The St. Regis Macao—all under Sands Macao. These hotels often launch various promotions during holidays. You can check out the detailed offers. This time, I was heading straight for the newly opened The Londoner Macao. I heard it's amazing, and it's endorsed by my idol David Beckham. Plus, there's no quarantine required for travel, making it the perfect choice for a short getaway. How great is that?
Looking at the hotel's exterior, you can tell it was designed with great effort, like a little Europe, full of British style. One advantage of staying at a Sands Macao hotel is not worrying about transportation, food, or entertainment. After clearing customs, we took the hotel's free shuttle bus—saving money and convenient. Oh, remember to keep your documents safe. The nucleic acid test report within 7 days is very important—don't lose it!
I had long heard of The Londoner Macao's Crystal Palace, known for its luxury and elegance. Seeing it in person felt like a dream. The entire lobby has a Victorian vibe, with a grand fountain of Eros in the center and a glass crystal ceiling above. When the lights come on, the halo effect makes for great photos.
The Louis Suite's double bed is large and soft. Who wouldn't love a luxurious gold-style suite? The furniture and daily necessities feel high-end, and the living room is practically a noble's standard. The space is just right, with free fruit to enjoy. The bathroom design is also impressive, and even the toiletries are not small brands.
The Residence, a private club exclusive to The Londoner Macao, offers buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and cocktail service. The restaurant is elegantly decorated with a business vibe. Best of all, breakfast is served until 1:00 PM—super friendly for someone like me who likes to sleep in!
The breakfast variety is extensive, with both Chinese and Western options. Take as much as you eat. As a bread lover, I felt like I tried half a year's worth of bread in one go—so many flavors.
Shopping at The Londoner Shopping Center is a real pleasure. The British-style decor is so European. Standing anywhere, the background of photos is stunning! Not only is it beautiful and photogenic, but many stores are also having sales. I thought my wallet would take a hit, but it actually saved me money!
At Chow Tai Fook, Shop 1015 on the 1st floor of The Londoner Shopping Center, there's the world's largest solid gold Winnie the Pooh—must take a photo with it! Buying gold in Macao is very affordable now. For any solid gold items, you get a 20% discount on craft fees, and there are exchange offers too. There are many promotions; ask the staff if unsure. Don't miss this opportunity!
Every time I visit Macao, I have Lady M cake. This time was no exception. The Lady M at The Londoner Shopping Center has a quiet environment with its own storefront and plenty of seats. For those who prefer a slow travel pace, you can enjoy afternoon tea here, rest, and then start the next part.
Having too many cake flavors can be a sweet burden—hard to choose which one. Since there's no Lady M in my city, I try different flavors each time. This time, it was the limited edition: coconut mille crepe with Lady M coconut ice cream.
I had a chocolate coffee to perk up, and my friend's original mille crepe was so good I snagged a few bites, haha.
The Venetian Macao is also a well-regarded luxury hotel in Macao, offering one-stop services for accommodation, dining, entertainment, and shopping. You won't worry about anything during your stay. Oh, and The Venetian Macao is a free attraction to visit. Its lavish lobby makes you feel like you've stumbled into a royal palace, and the Grand Canal Shopping Center is beautiful. I'll share more photos later—stay tuned!
Don't say The Venetian Macao has nothing fun. You haven't been to teamLab SuperNature. This exhibition is at Hall F on the 3rd floor of the Cotai Expo. It has many areas with great photo opportunities. My personal favorites are Light Sculpture - Plane and The Inverted Forest of Flowers and People: Lost, Immersed and Reborn—all great for photos.
The flower field here moves. When you stand still, the flowers around you bloom and change colors—very interesting. teamLab SuperNature is itself an immersive interactive exhibition. Here, you can fully immerse yourself and experience a magical world in another dimension.
I suggest girls wear solid colors here, as the exhibition is colorful, and solid colors stand out more.
My sister saw from my social media that I was in Macao and asked me to buy her a Rado watch. I knew this brand before—the designs are nice, not too expensive, and practical. The store had a promotion: buy a new Captain Cook high-tech ceramic watch and get a complimentary pair of AJ Hackett Skywalk tickets at Macau Tower!
The watch faces are simple and elegant. Both men's and women's watches look versatile at first glance. The staff were very welcoming, saying I could try on any I liked. That got me tempted to buy one as a daily accessory.
Another hotel with "人" in its name like The Londoner and The Venetian is The Parisian Macao. This hotel exudes French romance inside and out, with great service and a five-star environment. Cross the street to the hotel's exclusive Parisian Garden. Many tourists love to stroll and take photos there—me too! Note the garden's opening hours; don't get locked in after dinner!
Up close, the exterior of The Parisian Macao has many exquisite carvings. The hotel itself is a European-style building, very different from the typical skyscrapers we see daily, giving a strong visual impact. For someone like me who hasn't been abroad, it feels like being on the streets of Paris.
The Fountain of Neptune is spectacular, shooting water in sync with the music, making you want to move along.
The shopping center inside The Parisian Macao is also very large, with many boutique stores and brand concept stores. I.T is one I love to visit, with many trendy brands. Everyone knows COMME des GARÇONS PLAY series. Pick a few summer t-shirts—they match everything!
There are many hidden dining spots in The Londoner Macao. The Colorful Restaurant on the ground floor lobby offers Southeast Asian cuisine. The interior decor also has a Southeast Asian vibe, and the bamboo-woven chairs are quite comfortable.
It was a bit hot, so I had a cold lemon tea, which refreshed me. The restaurant's shrimp rice rolls, steamed chicken feet with black bean sauce, and stir-fried beef hor fun are must-orders. Especially the hor fun—the spicy sauce is flavorful, the beef tender, and the noodles chewy.
Lisboa Egg Tarts have also moved into The Colorful Restaurant. Freshly baked egg tarts have a rich aroma, and the golden appearance makes your mouth water. One bite, and the smooth egg custard is sweet but not greasy. I finished a whole tart in three bites.
Before I knew it, I had visited the three major shopping malls under Sands Macao. Now it's time for The Shops at Four Seasons. Why save it for last? Because it's packed with luxury brands—I lacked the courage to go in, haha. But since I was there, I had to experience high-quality service. The decor inside The Shops at Four Seasons is not too flashy, but rather elegant, making shopping feel less oppressive.
DFS免税店 is very friendly for ordinary wage earners like me. The discounted prices on major brands are rare. I usually hesitate to buy a bottle of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, but this time I stocked up on two sets. My skin will be happy!
The skincare and beauty products at DFS are abundant. Besides the usual big brands, there are also many niche European and American cosmetics. I tried some and they felt great. One last tip: remember to buy sets! They're really cost-effective!
Owning a pair of Jimmy Choo heels has been a dream of mine for a long time. This time in Macao, it came true. Every pair of women's shoes in the store was more dazzling than the last. I was willing to try on shoes until my feet ached.
Even though everything was available at the hotel, we still wanted to go out for a walk and experience the daily life of Macao residents. So we set aside a day to explore Rua do Cunha. This characteristic shopping street is in the old town, and the nearby residential buildings seem to have some history. Rua do Cunha has many specialty snacks. Let me recommend a few: Cheung Chau Rice Cake, Mok Yee Kei Ice Cream, and World Coffee—don't miss them!
The Ruins of St. Paul's are near Rua do Cunha. We walked all the way there, enjoying beautiful scenery. As we got closer, we could see its worn and mottled appearance, and my heart felt more stirred. The epitome of history is before us—how precious peace is today.
Macao has many popular hotels, each with its own style. You can choose according to your preference. Now, visiting Macao not only offers cheap airfares but also accommodation discounts, not to mention the various promotions in Macao's shopping malls. It saves a lot for shopaholics like me. Well, that's all for now. I wish everyone a wonderful trip with good food, drinks, fun, and sleep!
