Second Impression Countryside Competition: Hong Kong-Macau Food Quality International Competition Crocodile Industry Special Competition Launched
Hengqin will become a base for incubating crocodile health technology achievements and international export.
The Second Impression Countryside Competition: Hong Kong-Macau Food Quality International Competition, Crocodile Industry Special Competition has been launched.
The dual circulation policy drives China's modern agricultural products and food industry with international quality to gradually enter the global market. The Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin is also aligning with national strategic requirements to build a national high-end consumer goods import and export trading center. This not only benefits the development of high-quality, specialized industrial chain products for international rural revitalization, but also plays a significant role in enhancing regional industrial international competitiveness and promoting high-quality industrial economic development.
To this end, the launch meeting of the Second Impression Countryside Creative Design Competition: Hong Kong-Macau Food Quality International Competition, Crocodile Industry Special Competition was held on August 7 in a hybrid online+offline format, simultaneously at venues in Hengqin and Beijing.
Under the guidance of the Impression Countryside Creative Design Competition Organizing Committee and the coordination of the Hong Kong-Macau Food Quality International Competition Organizing Committee, the event was jointly organized by the Qin-Macau Food Industry Chain Innovation Incubation Base, Macau Patriotic Education Association, Shangnong Think Tank, National Food Safety (Hengqin) Innovation Center & Zhuhai (Hengqin) Food Safety Research Institute, and the National Center for Nano Manipulation and Manufacturing International Joint Research Center. It was hosted by Ao-E Crocodile Health Industry Holdings (Hengqin) Co., Ltd. for the first Crocodile Industry Special Competition and launch meeting.
More than 200 domestic and international guests, including Yuan Xueguo (Committee Member and Secretary-General of the Impression Countryside Competition Organizing Committee, Deputy Director of the National Food Safety (Hengqin) Innovation Center & Zhuhai (Hengqin) Food Safety Research Institute, and Co-Founder of the Qin-Macau Food Industry Chain Innovation Incubation Base); Li Fei (Secretary-General of the First Hong Kong-Macau Food Quality International Competition Organizing Committee, Lead Initiator of the Qin-Macau Food Industry Chain Innovation Incubation Base, and Chair of Macau Patriotic Education Association); Professor Wang Zuobin (Director of the National Center for Nano Manipulation and Manufacturing International Joint Research Center, Chair of the Global Nano Technology International Conference Organizing Committee); Hu Chengli (Natural Scientist at Guangdong Academician Science & Technology (Zhongshan) Workstation, Chief Scientist of Ao-E Crocodile Health Industry Holdings); and Wang Ningning (President of Beijing Shangnong Think Tank), participated online and offline in the international competition launch.
The first Crocodile Industry Special Competition leverages Macau's unique international window advantages, the distinctive location and policy advantages of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, and the Qin-Macau Food Industry Chain Innovation Incubation Base's provision of Hong Kong-Macau food series certifications (including other international certifications), testing and evaluation systems. With professional empowerment from the national nano-functional health evaluation system, it aims to select high-quality functional foods, health products, and health products from across the national crocodile industry chain upstream and downstream. Through the special competition, crocodile health products can receive concentrated technological empowerment, design empowerment, market empowerment, and capital empowerment, obtaining a pass to enter the Hong Kong-Macau market and the international market.
The head of the first Crocodile Industry Special Competition stated that in the form of an international crocodile industry competition, it will push functional foods and health products from disorder and chaos toward internationalization and upgrading under a professional evaluation system. It will help relevant local governments cultivate the international competitiveness of crocodile industry health products, accelerate R&D in crocodile product health technology, from crocodile farming and functional food processing (including ready-to-cook meals) to nano-technology scientific research and deep processing of crocodile series products, forming a high-value biotechnology industry. Deep processing of crocodile leather and other aspects of the crocodile industry chain will be upgraded to international quality standards, attracting capital from Macau and the Greater Bay Area to support the internationalization of the crocodile industry chain and its clustering in Hengqin. This will cultivate Hengqin as a base for incubating crocodile health industry technology and an international trade export base. Promoting the cultivation of competitive specialized rural economies in crocodile industry regions also holds significant demonstration significance for the internationalization of rural revitalization.
It is reported that the first Crocodile Industry Special Competition starts in August. High-quality crocodile industry projects will be selected and recommended through various channels, including relevant provincial and municipal agricultural and rural authorities and industry associations. The evaluation will be multi-dimensional, combining experts, market feedback, and capital representatives. The finals will take place at the end of October, and on November 30 in Hengqin, the award ceremony and international summit for the specialized fields of the Hong Kong-Macau Food Quality International Competition finals will be held.
