A must-see?! Night view overlooking from the observatory: Abeno Harukas

If it's a battle of height, then this is it! Directly accessible from Tennoji Station, Japan's tallest building 'Abeno Harukas' offers a 360-degree panoramic view from 300 meters above ground. The view unfolding like a carpet of light is truly breathtaking! Enjoying a helicopter tour or having dinner at the 58th-floor cafe are also part of the fun☆

A perfect combination of the full moon and Abeno Harukas, a rare sight only visible on limited days!

Take the Midosuji Line one stop from Tennoji Station. About an 8-minute walk from Dobutsuen-mae Station leads to Osaka's landmark, Tsutenkaku. The current observation tower is the second generation, but it has history and is a registered tangible cultural property of the nation. At 108 meters high, it's not particularly tall as an observation deck, but they've put effort into the deck design, such as an open-air observation deck and a protruding deck with a transparent floor.

Nanport and Umeda area also have spots!

Osaka Prefecture Sakishima Building Observatory

The bay area is Osaka's port town. About a 3-minute walk from the New Tram's Trade Center-mae Station takes you to the Osaka Prefecture Sakishima Building Observatory, overlooking the bay area. Take the transparent elevator from the 1st floor to the 52nd floor, and from 252 meters above ground, you get a 360-degree panoramic view. Enjoy a vast seaside scenery slightly away from the city center. The terrace has wide glass extending to your feet, providing a thrilling experience.

This is also a recommended date spot for couples, a bit off the beaten path.

Kuchu Teien Observatory (Sky Garden Observatory)

The most popular observatory is the Kuchu Teien Observatory at the Umeda Sky Building, about a 10-minute walk from Umeda Station through an underground passage. Its striking appearance and 360-degree open space, along with the feeling of walking in the sky, make it very popular. The excitement of riding the sky elevator is moving no matter how many times you experience it! At 170 meters above ground, you can clearly see the contours of nearby buildings, offering a completely different atmosphere from Harukas. And the fact that you can go up to the 39th floor for free is super thoughtful!

Not to mention the view from the observatory, the near-future style building exterior standing in the night is also captivating!

The bustling streets also dazzle☆ A picturesque night town

You can enjoy night views without going to an observatory, and that is the bustling streets at night. A popular spot is Dotonbori, about a 3-minute walk from Namba Station. The Glico sign in Dotonbori is famous, and the neon lights reflected on the river are exceptionally beautiful! The boats coming and going also create a dreamy atmosphere!

Tenma Market Lantern Street

Nearby Temma Station, the Tenma area has many popular shops that are 'cheap and tasty'. At night, food stall-style shops open one after another. You don't need to decide where to go in advance; hopping around to different izakayas with 'kushikatsu' is also fun. Don't miss Tenma Market Lantern Street with its retro atmosphere like a picture scroll!

The illumination of shrines and temples is also beautiful

Osaka Castle Tenshukaku

There are shrines and temples scattered around Osaka city. Among them, needless to say, Osaka Castle Tenshukaku, the landmark of Osaka, is a must-see. As night falls, the castle tower lights up, appearing as if floating in the darkness. Especially around sunset, the changing sky creates a rich variety of atmospheres.

During the Osaka Castle Illumination event held every winter, you can also enjoy beautiful neon lights.

The five-storied pagoda illuminated by lights has a solemn atmosphere. This is Shitennoji, boasted as one of Japan's oldest Buddhist temples. Although you cannot enter at night, just viewing it from a distance feels like peeking into a different world♪ Events are held on Tanabata and New Year's Eve, so be sure to check them out.

In addition, there are Tempozan, Chikko, Namba Parks, Osaka Station City, and even elevated highways... Along the Osaka Metro lines, there are countless picturesque night views! Also, on Osaka Metro NiNE's Instagram, many night views and other Osaka spots are introduced, so be sure to check it out. Hop on the subway and go encounter those beautiful night views.
