Namaste! I am Manju from Nepal.

This is Part 2 of the guide to Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street, one of Osaka's popular tourist spots.

On Japan's longest shopping street, about 600 specialty shops line up, covering food, shopping, and everything.

Following Part 1, which introduced recommended shops from Tenjinbashi 1-chome to 3-chome starting at Tenjinbashi, this time I strolled from Tenjinbashi 4-chome all the way to 6-chome!

Now, let's cross through Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street 3-chome and head toward 4-chome! Between 3-chome and 4-chome, the arched roof is interrupted, with the Hanshin Expressway passing overhead. Below used to be a canal, and it is said there was once a romantically named bridge called Meoto-bashi (Couple's Bridge). Now there are benches for people to rest, turning it into a leisure area.

Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street 4-chome has many lively tea houses frequented by locals, as well as...

...miscellaneous goods stores sparkling with decorations like phone cases that girls love, making you stop in your tracks.

I walked a long time, passed by Osaka Metro Ōgimachi Station, and reached the Tenma area. Near here, the road narrows, more people, lively.

Most eye-catching are the super cheap clothing and miscellaneous goods stores! All price tags are under 1,000 yen! Can you believe such low prices?

This shop is also super cheap. Slowly hunting for bargains is so fun~.

Walking on the "Tengo Shopping Street" (Tenjinbashi 5-chome), I found the trendy bread Maritozzo (Italian cream bun).

Such a cute round shape~ Looks so delicious~!!! "Amarena Tenjinbashi 5-chome" has many Italian sweets that look very tasty.

Now the highly popular pistachio cream with strawberries, and cute-looking Maritozzo! I ate it at the store. It's so big. Where should I start?

I split it in half and took a big bite! What? Got cream on my nose? It's okay. Laugh.

The pistachio cream light, even with such a large portion it's easy to eat. The bread is soft but flavorful. No wonder it's popular. Other baked goods look good too. At Amarena's Hijo Bridge café, there is said to be a monthly buffet where you can try various sweets. I'll check it out next time.

Turning off Tengo Shopping Street into side alleys, there are many restaurants in the maze-like backstreets. The Tenma area is full of night eateries, and it's recommended to do bar hopping here!

*Due to COVID-19 prevention measures, restaurants shortened hours to 8 PM, alcohol service until 7 PM. (As of July 30, 2021)

Tenma: Osaka's top bar district. Enjoy bar hopping at izakaya!

Through the alleys is the market area "PULALA Tenma". Let's take a look.

Vegetables, fish, meat are so cheap! Exciting!

There are also many ingredients hard to find in Japan. I want to cook more Nepalese dishes!

I greedily bought a lot...

Ate too much on the road, missed lunch time... but the famous sushi restaurant "Harukoma" that usually has long lines at noon was queue-free.

Ordering at the counter was a bit nerve-wracking, but choosing from the ingredients in front was fun.

Let's quickly taste my favorite sushi~.

Mmm~ delicious. Japanese sushi is truly great! It's one of my favorites since coming to Japan.

I also tried herring roe for the first time. The popping texture was interesting! Very tasty~

Sushi allows ordering only what you like, perfect for a day of eating while walking. Because I wanted to try other things while walking.

Leaving Harukoma, next to a newly discovered nice-looking shop for dessert. This was a thick warabimochi shop. Name: "Thick Angel Warabimochi". The next trending item after bubble tea is this! I tried the trendy drinkable warabimochi..

Indeed, it's warabimochi. The thick warabimochi in the straw, texture different from bubble tea.

The cute shop is also photogenic.

Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street 6-chome has many cheap drugstores, exciting. Among them, "100-yen shop SILK" has character. Though a chain, the owner's handwritten ads are funny, making it famous.

Strolling nearby, found a kimono shop. The prices of kimonos hanging outside "Kimonoing" are shocking. 550 yen? 330 yen? Really!? They called me in while I was looking.

The kimonos are all secondhand, made of silk and cotton, high quality, but they want to make kimonos more accessible, so sold at extremely affordable prices.

The staff recommended trying on, so I decided to try a pink floral yukata with a summer feel. First time wearing yukata, nervous~

Kimono and yukata use many strings, wearing like this. Interesting.

Ta-da! How is it? Isn't it cute? I naturally stood up straight, feeling more feminine.

The staff who helped me wear yukata wore a linen shirt and culottes, very stylish. Using a collar substitute as a scarf around the neck, that idea great too.

I thought kimonos were expensive, difficult to wear, and highbrow, but at such affordable prices, integrating kimonos into daily life feels close. Due to COVID-19, summer festivals were cancelled this year, fewer chances to wear yukata, but with creativity, can enjoy yukata fun~

At the end of the shopping street is the "Osaka Museum of Housing and Living". It seems to be popular among foreign tourists. Those interested in Osaka's life history, please visit.

Crossing the street leads to Tenjinbashi-suji 6-chome station! From one end of the shopping street to the other, honestly a distance, but shopping and eating while walking are super fun, forgetting leg fatigue, walking far.

Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street offers both old shop specialties and latest food trends! Perfect for a foodie like me! Plus super cheap shopping fun, a place I want to keep going.

Even tourists visiting Osaka, please set aside a day, don't plan too much, enjoy strolling through Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. You'll surely find treasures, discover deliciousness, and return fully loaded.
