This spring is just around the corner. Osaka's cherry blossoms will soon enter their peak viewing season.

In the approximately 100-hectare park, about 3,000 cherry trees bloom proudly, making it one of the premier cherry blossom viewing spots in the Kansai region. At the 'Nishinomaru Garden,' where you can see the Osaka Castle Keep Tower across about 300 cherry trees, many visitors come every year to enjoy the blossoms.

Shitennoji Temple, the first official temple of Japanese Buddhism built by Prince Shotoku. In the temple's 'Paradise Garden,' you can enjoy the beautiful view of about 50 cherry blossom trees interwoven with a Japanese garden.

Midosuji Line / Tanimachi Line: About a 9-minute walk from Exit 17 of 'Tennoji Station'

In the urban oasis 'Utsubo Park,' these are the kanhizakura (winter cherry blossoms). They bloom earlier than ordinary cherry blossoms, have a deep pink color, and the flowers hang downward.
