Kansai Airport Hidden Gem - Kansai Tourist Information Center

After clearing customs at Kansai Airport, you can find the Kansai Tourist Information Center on the first floor (KANSAI TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, referred to as KTIC).

Kansai International Airport Terminal 1, 1st floor. Service hours: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, open all year round (see Figure 1).

KTIC officially provides services in English, Japanese, and Chinese. When I went, there was no Chinese service available, so I had to communicate in English or Japanese. There are Chinese guide materials, etc.

Also, when purchasing tickets, you need to present your passport. This is because KTIC offers travel tickets for foreigners (non-Japanese nationals), and some tickets offer discounts with a passport. (See Figure 2 for specific tickets offered.)

Recommended common tickets for Kansai travel:

Osaka Amazing Pass (1-day and 2-day pass): Unlimited rides on the Osaka Metro and buses, free entry to over 35 attractions in Osaka, and discounts at 5 facilities and 73 shops! (Figure 3)

Keihan Electric Railway Pass: 1-day and 2-day passes for Kyoto-Osaka (Figure 4), plus a 1-day pass for the Keihan Railway Kyoto section.

Next to KTIC, there is an ATM for cash withdrawals, and SIM cards are also available for purchase.

Finally, my personal travel experience from July. Overall, KTIC provides comprehensive services and is worth recommending. However, during peak flight hours, you need to allow time for queuing to purchase tickets.
