Heading to Osaka Pokémon Center DX & Pokémon Café! ~Store Edition~
Come get your favorite Pokémon merchandise like Pikachu♪
Hello! I'm Huang from Taiwan.
I've loved Pokémon since the Game Boy era. Following my previous store report, I'm now bringing you a report on the Osaka Pokémon Café!
Connected directly to Shinsaibashi Station Exit 4 underground passage, the Pokémon Café is located on the 9th floor of the Daimaru Department Store Main Building and requires advance reservations. This was my first visit to this café, and I was absolutely thrilled!
So, let's quickly step into the café~♪
As soon as I entered, I was greeted by "Pikachu" everywhere, making me jump for joy! It felt like stepping into the world of Pokémon.
The ceiling lights are shaped like Poké Balls! Inside, there are also "Sprigatito," "Fuecoco," and "Quaxly"! What a cozy space♪
Seating is limited to 90 minutes, so let's order quickly! First, food—what should I choose~? Seeing the menu filled with my favorite Pokémon-themed dishes made it really hard to decide.
Being very hungry, I finally ordered the Chinese-style set meal: "Pikachu's Restaurant's Pikachu Assorted Ramen and Pancham Steamed Bun Set" (tax included 3,300 yen).
Amazing! "Pikachu" is made from egg, carrot, and seaweed! The "Pancham"-style bun is also high quality~. The ramen, loaded with meat and vegetables, uses thick noodles that are very chewy, coating in the broth and ingredients for a rich flavor. It was tastier than I imagined, and I was deeply moved!
By the way, ordering a Chinese-style set meal also gets you a "Pikachu" placemat and a clear coaster featuring "Pikachu" in its "Pikachu's Restaurant" outfit☆彡
There were many other foods I wanted to try. Next time I'd like the Pikachu set. The "Eevee" and "Snorlax" sets also look generous and delicious!
There's also a kids' meal shaped like a "Pikachu" hamburger! The plate hides many "Pikachu" shapes, so you can enjoy your meal while searching for them♪
Everyone loves Pikachu! Pikachu Set (tax included 1,848 yen)
So cute my heart melts♡ Eevee Set (tax included 1,848 yen)
Snorlax Full Meal Nap Lunch Set (tax included 1,958 yen)
Pokémon Café Kids' Meal ~Pikachu Hamburger~ (tax included 1,078 yen)
The drink selection is also diverse.
The "Eevee" milk tea features a financier shaped like Eevee's tail—super cute! The "Gengar" smoothie with a wicked grin actually glows inside the cup, recreating the "Confuse Ray" effect.
There's also the "Moomoo Milk" blended latte that appears in games and anime. I really couldn't decide which to choose~ (lol)
Hello Eevee! Royal Milk Tea ~with Fluffy Tail Financier~ (tax included 1,298 yen)
Coffee (HOT or ICE) with Pikachu's Tail Cookie (tax included 880 yen)
Gengar's Sinister Glow Smoothie (tax included 990 yen)
Fluffy Blended Latte Berry (tax included 1,100 yen)
After much deliberation, I chose the Pokémon Café's special menu item "Choose Your Pokémon Latte" (tax included 770 yen)! Since you can pick your favorite Pokémon, this time I chose "Eevee"♪
Since I was at the long-awaited Pokémon Café, I also ordered a dessert☆
The "Pokémon Café Pikachu Soufflé Pancake" (tax included 1,848 yen) was fluffy and soft. The Pikachu-faced soufflé pancake, colorful fruits & cream, and crispy Pikachu-tail-shaped pie are perfect for photos♪
The soft soufflé pancake paired perfectly with the ice cream, and I finished it in no time!
For first-timers at the Pokémon Café, don't miss the "How to Enjoy Pokémon Café" instruction sheet. It lists five ways to enjoy the café, with instructions available in English, Chinese, and Korean. I plan to try them all starting from No. 1!
No. 1: Get a placemat when seated!
You can receive one at random, so be sure to take it home! I got "Palafin"♪
No. 2: Order a drink to get a clear coaster☆彡
Play a mini-game to determine which random Pokémon you get. Awesome~! I got a "Wiglett" coaster♪
You get one coaster per drink. I'm tempted to order another latte just for another one! (lol)
*Coaster designs vary by period.
No. 3: Get exclusive Pokémon Café merchandise!
Near the entrance where merchandise is sold, hidden "Pikachu" and "Meowth" plushies make for fun searching⤴ The "Pikachu" and "Meowth" dressed as café staff are so cute~.
No. 4: Get exclusive café tableware!
You can buy plates shaped like "Pikachu" and "Eevee" faces, as well as Poké Ball-shaped bowls♪ "Ditto" turned into Pikachu? Should I choose the plate~.
Finally, No. 5: Create wonderful memories♡
I realized I already have so many happy memories! This place is truly a happy paradise. It's fun with family and friends, but even alone you can enjoy a great time♪ Does this make me a Pokémon Café master?
At the Pokémon Café, there's also a "greeting" event where you can meet Pokémon. This time I met "Pikachu" wearing its "Pikachu's Restaurant" outfit♪
Pikachu danced to an English song~♡ Everyone clapped along and had a blast together♪ Pikachu turned around, wiggled its ears—so adorable~.
Thank you, Pikachu, for a wonderful time!
If you meet "Pikachu" at the Pokémon Café, be sure to enjoy every moment♪
*Depending on circumstances, Pikachu may not appear. Please understand.
Before I knew it, it was time to say goodbye. This was my first visit to the Pokémon Café, and I had a fantastic time eating delicious Pokémon food and meeting Pikachu♪
