Fireworks Festivals Adorning Osaka's Summer
Large flowers blooming in the night sky, adorning Osaka's summer fireworks festivals. Speaking of summer seasonal poetry, it must be fireworks festivals! This time, we bring you dynamic photos of Osaka's famous fireworks festivals: 'Tenjin Matsuri Dedication Fireworks' and 'Yodogawa Fireworks'. Come on, let's enjoy these fireworks photos and experience the summer vibe♪
The brilliance of fireworks craftsmen: Japanese fireworks
The biggest feature of Japanese fireworks is their perfectly round shape! Fireworks that rise into the sky take on a circular shape resembling real chrysanthemums or peonies. The launched firework shells are spheres, carefully calculated and made to ensure they form beautiful flower shapes when launched into the air. Moreover, all are handmade by fireworks craftsmen—amazing! Each firework can be said to be a work of art crafted by the meticulous calculations of fireworks craftsmen♪ In Europe and America, fireworks are usually just a performance within an event, but in Japan, fireworks are the main event! Large fireworks go up one after another with the sound 'Shooooo---Bang!!' That's the real fun of enjoying fireworks~.
Tenjin Matsuri Dedication Fireworks
Speaking of Osaka's most famous fireworks festival, it has to be Tenjin Matsuri! Tenjin Matsuri has a history of over a thousand years and is one of Japan's Three Great Festivals. Starting from late June, Tenjin Matsuri holds various events over about a month. The highlight of the final day's main shrine event is the 'Funatogyo' (boat procession) where about 100 boats pass through the Okawa River near Temmabashi Station on the Tanimachi Line and Minamimorimachi Station on the Tanimachi and Sakaisuji Lines. Then, the finale ends with fireworks! About 5,000 fireworks illuminate the night sky, combined with the flickering lanterns on the boats by the water, creating a very dreamy atmosphere♪ Tenjin Matsuri is a uniquely Japanese festival where you can enjoy both traditional celebrations and fireworks. Highly recommended☆
Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival
Another popular one in Osaka is the Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival! This is a summer event that attracts over 500,000 visitors each year. This year, it is planned to be held on August 3 (Saturday). Let's hope for a successful fireworks festival. Yodogawa Fireworks are launched along the Yodogawa River, Osaka's largest river. It's within walking distance from Umeda Station on the Midosuji Line and Nishinakajima-Minamigata Station, making it very convenient! The scale is truly breathtaking! The most spectacular part is the underwater fireworks launched simultaneously from about six locations, as well as the giant fireworks called 'No. 10 shells,' which are launched to a height and have a diameter of about 300 meters. The moment when everything in sight is enveloped in brilliant light is so beautiful it takes your breath away♪ There are also performances combining music and fireworks, so you won't get bored from beginning to end.
