Stunning Osaka Scenic Spots Accessible by Osaka Metro ~Night View Edition~
Explore Osaka's dazzling night views through pictures☆
Osaka's nights offer not only drinking and dining but also many spots to enjoy the night scenery.
Here are some night view spots accessible by Osaka Metro that are also popular on Instagram. We've selected photogenic spots suitable for sightseeing, dates, or night photography!
Abeno Harukas
If it's about height, this is it! Directly connected to Tennoji Station, Osaka's tallest building "Abeno Harukas" offers a 360-degree panoramic view from 300 meters above ground. The scenery spreading out like a carpet of light is truly breathtaking! Enjoy a helicopter tour or a dinner at the 58th-floor café☆
The perfect combination of the full moon and Abeno Harukas is a rare sight only available on limited days!
From Tennoji Station, take the Midosuji Line one stop. About an 8-minute walk from Dobutsuen-mae Station is Osaka's landmark Tsutenkaku. The current observation tower is the second generation, but it has history and is a registered tangible cultural property of Japan. At 108 meters, it's not particularly tall, but the observation deck features unique designs like an outdoor deck and a protruding deck with a transparent floor.
Osaka Prefecture Sakishima Office Building Observatory
Bay Area is Osaka's port town. About a 3-minute walk from Nanko Port Town Line's Trade Center-mae Station is the Osaka Prefecture Sakishima Office Building Observatory. After taking a transparent elevator from the 1st floor to the 52nd floor, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view from 252 meters above ground. You can see the vast seaside scenery slightly away from the city center. The terrace has wide glass extending to your feet, offering an exhilarating thrill.
This is also a recommended hidden dating spot for couples.
Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory
The most popular observatory is the Kuchu Teien Observatory at Umeda Sky Building, about an 11-minute walk from Umeda Station. Its striking appearance, 360-degree open space, and the experience of walking in the sky make it very popular. The excitement of riding the sky elevator is moving no matter how many times you do it! At 170 meters above ground, you can clearly see the ups and downs of nearby buildings, offering a different atmosphere than Abeno Harukas. And it's super thoughtful that access to the 39th floor is free!
Not to mention the view from the observatory, the near-future style building standing in the night is also captivating!
Osaka's best! Near-future style Umeda Sky Building
For night views without going to an observatory, the bustling streets at night are perfect. A popular spot is Dotonbori, about a 3-minute walk from Namba Station. The famous Glico sign at Dotonbori, with its neon lights reflected on the river, is especially beautiful! The passing boats also create a dreamy atmosphere!
Tenjin Market Lantern Street
Nearby Ogimachi Station, the Tenjin area has many "cheap and delicious" popular shops. At night, food stall-style shops open one after another. You don't have to decide where to go in advance; it's also fun to visit several small bars in a "kushikatsu pub crawl." Don't miss the retro, picture-like Tenjin Market Lantern Street!

Osaka Castle Tenshukaku
There are shrines and temples scattered around Osaka. Among them, the iconic Osaka Castle Tenshukaku is a must-see. As night falls, the castle is lit up, floating in the darkness. Especially around sunset, the changing sky creates a rich variety of atmospheres.
During the winter, the Osaka Castle illumination event features beautiful neon lights.
The five-story pagoda illuminated by lights exudes a solemn atmosphere. This is Shitennoji Temple, Japan's first Buddhist temple, of which Osaka is proud. Although you cannot enter at night, just viewing it from afar feels like peeking into a different world♪ Events are held during Tanabata and New Year's Eve, so be sure to check them out!
In addition, there are Tenpozan, Chikko, Namba Parks, Osaka Station City, and even elevated highways... There are countless picturesque night views along the Osaka Metro lines! Also, on the Osaka Metro NiNE Instagram, many night views and other Osaka attractions are introduced. Be sure to take the subway and encounter those beautiful night views.
