Business Trip Away, Lanhai Made Me Feel at Home

I travel often for work. This time, my destination was Qingdao's West Coast New Area. Based on past experience, I first looked for recommended hotels near the destination. Online reviews mentioned a Lanhai Junhua near Qingdao's Golden Beach that was quite good, so I called to book. The young lady on the phone had a sweet voice and carefully recommended a sea-view room facing the sea directly. 'You can see the ocean from your room' – that really appealed to me. When I drove up to the hotel, I have to say, the parking lot was huge, and the ground was pink – it really gave a warm feeling. The hostess thoughtfully handed me a hot towel and a warm drink, asked about my reservation, and quickly checked me in. My room was on the fifth floor. As the hostess was about to escort me upstairs, the robot returned from its tasks; I asked the robot to show me to my room. The robot was adorable and kept chatting with me all the way. When I reached the fifth floor, as soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I met a housekeeping lady in the hallway. She greeted me warmly, making me feel like I'd come home. Once inside, the room was warm, clean, and cozy. A welcome fruit plate sat on the coffee table. Opening the balcony door, I was greeted by the sea. Lying on the bed, I could watch the waves gently lapping the golden beach. The bed was large and the linens so comfortable that I dozed off without realizing it. I woke up in the evening and went to the bathroom to freshen up. It was spotless, everything neatly arranged. The shower had a rainfall showerhead; the faucet was already turned to hot, and within seconds hot water came out at just the right temperature, very pleasant. The towels and bathrobes felt custom-made, soft with a faint fragrance. Just as I finished getting ready, a knock came at the door. I opened it to find the same housekeeping lady from earlier, beaming, holding a foot soak basin. 'Madam, hello. I noticed you were wearing high heels earlier, your feet must be tired. I brought you a foot basin so you can soak your feet before bed and ease the fatigue.' I was truly touched by such thoughtfulness; my eyes grew a little moist. I felt like I was home, feeling a mother's love. I had dinner at the hotel's buffet on the first floor. There was an unlimited supply of various seafood, a dream for a foodie like me. I especially recommend the cheese-baked seafood and the plump swimming crabs. The barbecue was excellent too; you didn't need to fetch it yourself – a handsome young chef would bring sizzling, aromatic skewers right to your table. The restaurant staff were also very hospitable. In short, from the moment I stepped through the hotel entrance, I was enveloped in a homely warmth. I felt fully refreshed, and my business negotiations went smoothly. A task expected to take three days was completed in two. I left Lanhai Junhua (Golden Beach branch) amid farewells from the security guard. On the return journey, thinking back over all the hotels during this trip, this Lanhai Junhua hotel by Golden Beach was the most unforgettable. Not only do the room facilities rival those of international brands, but the personalized service was truly delightful. During the holidays, I'll definitely bring my family to Golden Beach to enjoy the seaside and experience the attentive service here.
