2023 Qingdao Spring Outing and Camping Guide
In March, with bright spring sunshine, it's the perfect time for a spring outing! The weather has been warm these days, and I've seen many posts about picnics and camping 🏕️ and other recreational activities online. As a young person, I couldn't resist. I happened to see online that there's a Tk campsite in Beizhai, Laoshan, which looks really nice. It's on a hillside with great scenery. A spontaneous trip with friends is truly cool 😎. My friends and I bought the last high-speed train tickets to Qingdao North Station. We booked the Blue Sea Hotel (Qingdao Licang Junfeng Road Metro Station Branch) on Ctrip. Taking Metro Line 3, only 3 stops to the hotel. We arrived late, already evening. Since we had previously grabbed a coupon for their buffet at a good price, we wanted to check it out. From ticket verification to entry, staff guided us. The variety of dishes was really good - more appetizing than in photos: barbecue, seafood 🦞, desserts, etc. As a foodie, arriving at the buffet felt like reaching a food paradise 😇. The service staff were attentive, bringing us food and promptly clearing our plates and trash. Here are some buffet photos.
Because we were excited about the trip, we had some drinks - maybe a bit too much. When checking in, the front desk lady might have smelled alcohol on us and prepared honey water 🍯. The room's air conditioning was already turned on. The room was very clean, and they were thoughtful in providing the services we needed. Really great.
The twin-bed room was spacious, with a window in the bathroom and a bathtub. Took a nice bath.
The next day, because we were eager to go to the camping base, and the hotel provided breakfast, we informed the staff in advance. They brought some breakfast to our room. After a simple meal, we took Metro Line 2, then transferred to Line 11 to reach Beizhai metro station, and then arrived at our destination. I have to say, the metro is really convenient - I get motion sickness, so taking a taxi wouldn't work. Although the metro required a transfer, today's sunshine ☀️ is perfect for travel. We had booked online in advance. There were quite a few recreational areas, with mountains and water, a small slide. Unexpectedly, there were also a few cute little sheep. The decoration style is very suitable for young people to check in - a light luxury style. The owner was really nice too, even giving us desserts 🍮 and coffee ☕️. In one tent, some of us were grilling meat, some were making milk tea 🥤, and others were recording the moments. Sitting together on chairs, enjoying the sunshine ☀️ and the leisurely life - so relaxing. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
These two days were very fulfilling. Urban life makes people increasingly busy and distant from nature. I can't remember when I last smelled the birds and flowers of nature. Through outdoor camping, there's an opportunity for deep contact with nature - not just sightseeing, but deeply experiencing forests, streams, valleys, and the natural landscape. It allows people who live busy lives from dawn to dusk to feel the beauty of nature. While young, we should go out more.
